10/1 on a Top Half finish too.

Towards the end of the 05/06 season, when we were still listed on the AIM market I bought a load of shares in the hope that I'd make a few quid if we got promoted. I laid it off by having a bet that we wouldn't. Me and my stockbroker pal had worked out that there was no way it could lose - sadly I don't recall the move in the share price nor the odds I got for, but I think I put £500 on it, he had double that, and I think my brother had a go too. Do you know where you can see a current handicap table? I know will differ from each bookie but will be close ish....cannot think anybody is ahead of the blades as Liverpool were +4 from memory

Not come across anything like it mate, wouldn’t mind seeing what places were offering though. We were the biggest handicap with sky from what I remember.

Very rarely bet these days and even more so on the Blades. The only stand out bet which was United related was 03/04 season against Macclesfield Town, United to win and Jack Lester to score first which came in.

Our first season with Wilder I knew we would get promoted, after watching a interview he did about a closed stand at Northampton. Before the season even started I put a £10 on us winning league one as champions, Portsmouth as league two champions, Newcastle as championship champions, Bayern as Bundesliga champions, Real Madrid as La Liga champions and Also Real Madrid as Champions league winners

My final team in this bet was Man city to win the Prem, they had just got pep, he would easily win the league. They didn't and Pep cost me £25k, the season after they scored over 100 goals and got the most points any prem side has ever had. RIP.
