Wilder vs Klopp - LMA Manager of the year

Attention turning back to this again on the twitters.
Is it possible for one to win the overall award and the other the Premier League award? I think Klopp getting the big gong and Wilder getting LMA Premier League manager of the year would be nice. Would also make Chris the first to complete the set.

Ignore the stupid FA Cup meme award they gave to Martinez for winning it with Wigan.

Klopp wins it. Hands down. Appreciate we appreciate what our boy has done but if you win the PL by twenty odd points, it’s a done deal.

What would be interesting is if there ever was an overachievement award, it would probably be called the Chris Wilder trophy.

Think Klopp will win the overall LMA Manager of the Year Award (The one Wilder won last year). But think Wilder will win the LMA Premier League Manager of the Year Award. Hopefully, because he deserves at least one of them in my opinion.

He will then have the full set and also become joint 2nd for overall LMA awards 😮
 
It’s voted for by other managers so I expect there’s an element of arse kissing involved and a bit of rivalry as well. I couldn’t imagine Lampard voting for Wilder but Mourinho would probably vote for him over Klopp etc.
 
If wilder won it over klopp there would be accusations of racism there were last year from Norwich fans and journalists who supported Liverpool

I tend not to like this overachieving tag what seems to be thrown at us, we've got players who's give 100% effort and can also play a bit as well.

I could easily imagine Lampard would vote for Chris Wilder. Convinced he has the full respect of Frank and has done for a couple of seasons. Just can’t see Lampard being arrogant and he certainly isn’t stupid.

I meant politically he’ll probably vote for Klopp to arse kiss. He’s one manager that Wilder has well and truly got the measure of. 10 points from 12 against his teams illustrate that.

Chelsea - Klopp
Tottenham - Wilder
Arsenal - Either
Wolves - Either
Everton - Wilder
Norwich - Klopp
Aston Villa - Either
Crystal Palace - Klopp
Burnley - Wilder
Southampton - Klopp
Newcastle - Either
Brighton - Either
West Ham - Either
Bournemouth - Wilder

All purely speculation, but i cannot see Liverpool's rivals voting for Klopp, and there are some allegiances from the British managers with Wilder I reckon. I can see Austrian/German managers voting for Klopp, The ones which are either would most likely vote Klopp i think
 
Humility, attractive football, possession, taking it to the big boys - undefeated in London, and all on a budget, whilst almost unanimously tipped for relegation.

Versus, spending shit loads, over several years to build a star studded side, to the extent that winning the league should be the expectation and falling short would be a failure.

I know who my vote goes to...

This would be the perfect outcome for me.

Still, CW could just win both. Fuck the rest of them.
 
Yes winning the title so early is a great achievement but with them spending hundreds of millions and being one of the biggest clubs in the world it is not really unbelievable compared to a man who on a relative shoestring has taken an apparent group of "no hopers" and "cloggers" to the brink of european football which is a first for the club he supports and manages.
 



There's an argument for both, but for Liverpool to have the season they had last year, and not win the title, klopp then makes them even better this season (yes they have more money, but still he has to motivate them and pick them up) and our chris has simply stuck 2 fingers up at every cunt that dare doubt him and our team, you can't do this and that, well fuck you everyone as we can, because we're the blades and we're sick of your pompous, elitist shit, so have some of that
 
Klopp will get it.

Can't believe Eddie Howe has one but Sean Dyche doesn't.
That's a disgrace, Howe is a fraud who has wasted an absolute fortune.
 
Liverpool have done it at a canter but equally they haven't had a decent challenger for the title this year and what they have achieved is essentially what everyone expected.

Who expected us to do what we have?
 
First time post so be gentle but isn't lma manager award voted for by all ninety two managers . There also seems to be a bias towards English managers for obvious reasons . Based on the fact that Chris Wilder has built friendships through all four divisions for me he has to be an excellent bet to win it .

Exactly. 'Media darlings' doesn't come into it guys, it's the managers who decide not ignorant pundits.

We all know Chris has a drink with any and every willing manager after each game, and has now been up through all 4 divisions. Not saying that will get him the win by itself of course, as it's the results that matter, but the point is there's 70+ managers out there who've suffered through their teams getting dicked on a regular basis over the last 5+ years by Wilder sides and are now witnessing him take on the Premier League. They will likely feel he represents lower league managers in a way and will definitely respect his achievements.

All this is not to say that he will win. Many will rightly vote for Klopp as what he has done is also incredible, let's be fair. To win the league by the margin he has playing the style of football Liverpool do is hugely impressive and not an easy task even with the money they've spent. I for one won't feel hard done by if Klopp wins one or both of the 2 titles. I do think it makes sense Wilder wins one of them though, and I won't be surprised if he does given the relationships he will have undoubtedly built up over his career.

He deserves every plaudit he gets.

If that's true he has to be the favorite.

But why didn't Dyche get it when Burnley got into Europe?
Thought he would have won it for the same exact reason.

This just seems like bladey inferiority complex and a bit paranoid to be honest. If what you said is true then how did Wilder win it last year?

If Klopp wins it won't be because there's a conspiracy, it'll be because a majority of the managers think he's done a great job, and they'll be right. I'm pretty sure the voting will be anonymous, so they can put whoever they want.

Wilder and Klopp have both done incredibly well, and either would be a worthy winner. Personally I hope it's split so they each get one, but we'll see what happens.
