Lampard says they were below par

I actually thought Lampard showed us respect and took the defeat with dignity

Lampard must quiver ever time he plays us.
Remember he has previous with Wilder.....he struggled against us when he was manager at Derby too.

So Lampard knows our system well and he knows we are a good team so won’t underestimate us.

THE BIGGEST FACTOR for me yesterday was yet again....opposition managers show us the ultimate respect by changing their normal formation to match us up.
We’ve seen many teams totally change their formation when playing us......but it still rarely works.

Wilder has introduced this new over loading areas tactic with overlapping centre backs....we often look like we have more men on the pitch.
It’s quite incredible that every manager now knows our tactic but they STILL can’t over come it.

Nobody has been able to replicate what Walsall did.

To be fair, when reading Roys the view from before the game a lot of their fans were worried about their defence, you could see why they were concerned

We’ve ended a couple of Chelsea careers tonight. Willian gave up. The two centre halves were nowhere. Their sitting midfielder had a cigar on.

Done Lampard a favour in the long run.

Weirdly they are chucking loads of money at more shiny things in attack (Werner, Ziyech, possibly Havertz) rather than most of the positions that are so obviously weak at the moment. I'm sure they're not done with their transfer business but still... don't see how they improve without strengthening the areas you've mentioned.

Said to our lass they're potent upfront, but there defence is suspect at the best of times, and if we got the ball and pushed their defence they'd crumble.

I find myself having to have conversations like this with the Mrs now too.

"Oh right..."

is as good as it gets in way of response.

Lockdown's been hard.
