If true and Blackwell have gone...

who would you like to see as the next manager at the lane?

personally i don't want to Gary Speed in charge because the only managerial experience he have had is with Blackwell.

He'll have probably been getting invaluable advice from Allardyce, Sammy Lee and Gary Megson in his later years at Bolton.

Oh....

Speed as manager would be a sideways move. Clear the lot out. Speed doesn't look to have had much influence on the team so far. Speed for me can retire and be a tv pundit.

Second tier team, do stuff on the cheap, dropped down from the top flight and on the slide.... whats changed?

I wonder which manager you'll be hating in 3 months time?

:)

Been confirmed that cheep as chips have gone, and that united expectations are still high.

I just hope whoever it is, the decision is made for the right reasons rather than just convenient ones.

Speed wanted to leave the club only recently, would be a bit awkward having him officially take the helm all of a sudden. He's destined to be a manager but I don't think now's the time.

It will be Speed. The cheap option, knows the club & the players.

Repeating myself but I hope not due to:

1] If he had no influence over team selection and tactics and put up with the last 18 months of shit then he is not management material.
2] If has had influence over the team then he is not management material.

With ether scenario he is not management material.

Good one, from one who was clearly deranged and totally unhinged towards the end of the Robson era ........

True, but I generally wait for them to prove their incompetence before I get on their back. The mere sight of a blades badge is enough to fuel pupp's hatred...:D

Gus Poyet for me and for an unknown then Morten Wieghorst, who played for Celtic and is a very good trainer over here at FCN.

Whoever it is, McCabe needs to get it exactly right. And his track record on that is not exactly sparkling.

I think we should sack the new manager. NEW MAN OUT!
