Deludamol

Why has he started two threads with exactly the same opening post and only three minutes apart? This shows the typical attention span of the average Wednesday fan and their me me me attitude to life.

Just FUCK OFF back to NKT.

I hear a lot of fellow blades fans referring to Wednesday fans as being under the influence of deludamol, yet I see posts on here about us being in the top 6 and pushing for Europe , let's be honest we were doing well and riding the crest of a wave pre covid break , however there is a reason that the nucleus of our side has never played above championship level and that is consistency

We are a championship side that has had an incredible season but to think there is a possibility of us reaching the top 6 or as some were saying champions league is beyond deluded ,

In our squad we have Egan, O' connell and Henderson that have the quality and consistency to play premier league football the rest are making up numbers

If we were relegated not one of the other players would be signed and become a regular premier league starter , unless it was for a newly promoted club with a massively restricted budget like ourselves

So I think we need to get some perspective realise we have had a great ride but also realise that next season with another year in their legs the likes of Basham, Sharp, Stevens, mcgoldrick , cannot start matches in this league and their replacements currently are not good enough, if you consistently but championship players then that is what you become

Our recruitment this season has been poor , mcburnje 4 goals, Robinson currently on loan at WBA, mousset a Maverick but never fit, Berge at the moment is a disruption to the squad and balance of the team, J Robinson not good enough, Osborn not good enough, Ravel failed gamble, jagielka past his best,

So when Henderson goes back in the summer , and we look at the 40-50 million we have spent, will that team be any better than the team that was promoted , ?

And if so where are the improvements ?

We blamed Warnock for wasting a transfer window in January 2007 that cost us our premier league place ,

We need to ensure we get it right this next window because this current squad has no pace, no depth and absolutely no creativity

Whether you are a Blade, or more likely a pig, all this OP is - is a troll post. Designed and engineered (very well I might add) to get Blades against Blades.

The only deludamol that exists is down at S6 and when I think back to the start of Mester Chansiri's tenure the deludamol was topped up to the brim - Premier league? only a matter of when not if..............lolz!

How times change and in such a short space of time.

For sure we have a few issues to sort out GOING FORWARD with some of our fans - but go forward we will.

Finally, as a reminder of what it will continue to be like "In, year, out...........see ya"

Go and have a good wak.

Works wonders.

All that effort to have a tiny minuscule wind up?

You can tell Wednesday have won one. Any team that is in the European places after the three quarter mark in a season is a realistic contender. The opening post was written innumerable times by Wednesday fans last season and the previous season: the bubble bursting, the step up in level unbridgeable, reality check etc.

January signings aside, United's recruitment was about filling the squad with young, hungry players that wouldn't break the bank, were saleable, and could grow with the club regardless of division. This was a necessity after the club had invested very little in the squad over Wilder's tenure, resulting in an ageing, threadbare squad that had to be addressed. The fees paid for Callum Robinson, Freeman and Osborn were well under their real value due to their (favourable, for us) individual contractual situations. On that basis alone, only the hard of thinking would believe theses signings not to be sound business. (For reference: We paid around 50% of Wednesday's expenditure on Rhodes on each player). We were spending half a Rhodes or a Reach level sum on proven elite Championship players that would (at worst) result in us getting promoted next season if we went down. Our squad all have big wage drops in their contracts too, and no doubt hefty promotion bonuses in the event we did/do go down, (see the promotion season bonus's); so, really, this was a very sound strategy. We've outperformed massively which explains a lot about the inability of these players to break in: Freeman and Osborn have been excellent when they have played, and look a snip at the prices paid. C Robinson doesn't look like he fits in our system, but still looks the bees knees coming in off the left in the Championship for WBA. He's probably worth double our money, so, again, this was a prudent bit of business. If we change system slightly his United career could turn around. As for Jags: one year and then we can move him on. No wage would've followed us into the Championship if we'd gone down. Prudent financial management, unlike that seen in S6; the same with Henderson. J Robinson has been an excellent acquisition: he'll be on peanuts, cost peanuts and would be top drawer in the Championship base on his performances thus far.
Moussett represented a worthwhile gamble, and he's more than paid his fee back already. He has the potential to really kick on. If he doesn't he was a good buy anyway. The fact the opening poster put Stevens and Basham on his not good enough list is laughable, but the omission of Baldock from the list of premier league players takes the biscuit. He's only been one of the best RWB in the country this season.
It is really naive of anybody to judge these new acquisitions after one year anyway. When they came in, the younger ones were highlighted by Wilder as development projects. You only have to look at how many of our other players have been transformed by Wilder, Knill and the fitness staff, when they've previously had a pre season or two to work with them and develop them tactically, technically and physically. It's a brave/foolish man that would bet against this happening again with some of them. Next season would be the first season at Bramall Lane when we haven't seen huge improvements in individuals, if that was the eventuality. Wilder marked people's cards re Berge only days ago. The question I'd ask the opening poster is this: why are players on the books (particularly new signings) not going to improve next season when it has happened in all Wilder's previous seasons?

If the opening poster is one of the number of Wednesday fans that have come on here in the last week, I hope he has learnt something about prudent financial management and building an affordable squad from my riposte.
I doubt the piggy get would be able to concentrate enough to read your full post.

There is not 1 Blade ( ok Ricky aside ) who is “ deluded “ enough to think we’re good enough
We all know our short comings and have ideas on were to improve
This season has been a free hit with our performances before lockdown
Guaranteeing us at least 200 million for the next 2 years and at least plus 3 years parachute payments in the event we go down next season
I can see what SirChris was doing buying high end Championship players just Incase we went down this season we would have been the team to beat next season ( like Burnley down and straight back up )
I’m sure Sir Chris has targets lined up to push us on next year , I would name 3 but at the mo 2 of the clubs are in the play off spots , unfortunately the Galacticos from Dem Pigs 🐷 are not included
I’m going to nail my colours to the mast now
If we go down next year Sir Chris & AK must stay in charge we owe them that for the last 4 years at least
BTW that was a joke R

I really don't understand why a Wednesday fan comes into a United board, pretends to be a Blade and posts this kind of drivel.

It is so transparent that it just makes them look stupid. I suppose with most years in schools being shutdown they must be getting very bored and are having to find things to do.

I suppose if a riposte is needed, I would far rather have our squad problems than the threadbare FFP squad problems of the truffle hunters.
Quite hilarious they have to sink so low. Embarrassment for their fan base and I'd be embarrassed of any of our lot did the same.

Stopped reading here. The one thing we've had over any other side barring Liverpool is consistency. The last couple of league games aside, it's been the foundation we've built upon over multiple seasons. Consistent players, consistent formation, consistent approach, consistent performances, consistent results.

Prior to the break, you could name our line up every match barring the strikers and maybe Berge/Lundstram. Still, you could pretty much you could bet the bank on Hendo, Baldock, Stevens, Bash, JOC, Egan, Fleck, Norwood. Even our substitutions are predictable to some degree in that we generally change the strikers in the second half.

Actually, let me think what the difference has been in the last few games...it's been forced changes to that line up. It's the first time in two seasons that the keeper and back five have been switched up so much. And how have we conceded goals? Defensive mix ups and poor positioning. So if you want to criticise the lack of depth of the squad then, fine, it's an obvious problem. I'd say it's pretty well explained by budget restrictions and being our first season in the Prem, and we're clearly spending money where we can to improve, but it's still a problem that will need addressing in the Summer and may cost us a higher finish this season.

I don't care whether this guy's an Owl in disguise or a Blade or whatever, I just get tired of reading utter nonsense dressed up as "valid criticism".

Thart either a Wendy,or deluded pal. :tumbleweed:

There are 'delusions' at both ends of the spectrum.

The camp that believes relegation is a certainty next season.
The camp that believes relegation is not a possibility next season.

I've seen many in both.
You won't be able to point at many if any on here who think we'll be immune from relegation next season. Besides this thread is for mocking the OP who thankfully seems to have scurried off having not fooled a single person with his rubbish.

The OP's fatal mistake was spelling all our players' names correctly.

Those claiming the club should invest heavily this summer to push into the top 6 next season suggests that relegation is not an option.
So if we don't finish top six we get relegated. Am I missing something?

I see posts on here about us being in the top 6 and pushing for Europe ,
Next season we are going to rip this league a new one. We will win it by a margin that makes this season’s feat by Liverpool look tighter than a duck’s arse. 100 points will be a fucking breeze, Billy Sharp will have scored 50 by the time we play our first FA Cup game, which incidentally is another trophy we will win. Mr Sharp will be called up to the England squad, and be the Golden Shoe (what was wrong with a Golden Boot? Twats) winner.

Real Madrid will try a cheeky bid for Didzy in January, but Wilder will tell them to fuck off. Henderson will sign on a permanent basis though, as will our on-loan midfielder Jason Sancho.

The whole footballing world will shit their pants at the mere suggestion they might have to play us. River Plate are already about to concede the World Club Championship if we get a sniff of it.

Will that do you, petal?

Can't say I've seen anyone post on here that we should invest heavily in the hope of breaking into the top six. Didn't the pigs try something similar to gain promotion and ended up with a reight pile of shite, that don't want to play for them anymore.

Can’t we at least have a bit of respite while your team is playing? Surely there’s a Leicester City messageboard craving your self-regarding nonsense?

I've had enough of helping out on suicide watch over there.

Thart either a Wendy,or deluded pal. :tumbleweed:
No I'm neither deluded nor a Wednesday fan I'm just genuinely concerned that Wilder has invested heavily , infact I think you could say he has had the largest transfer budget in the clubs history since promotion , and I fail to see where he has improved the side from the team that got promoted from the championship, so my concern is that we will end up a very good championship side
