Koumas to Cardiff

Probably not, Cardiff are under a transfer embargo. The only way he can play us is if they settle the outstanding issues with HMRC in the next 72 hours.

They can bring him in, make a deal with Wigan, pay his wages but he can't play.

I saw this earlier on SSN. I thought Cardiff were skint?

I suddenly feel a LOT better Bob :) Although Cardiff are hoping to come out of the embargo before the end of the week:

"Cardiff City are working towards coming out of embargo with the Football League this week - and look to mark the occasion by signing Jason Koumas on a one year loan from Wigan."

I don't know if you're an expert in the area (hopefully) but can you or somebody give an opinion as to whether this is a real possibility?

I seriously doubt that Cardiff will have a problem. They escape time and time again. A few months ago someone was speculating about them going bust and missing the playoffs as a result, and of course nothing came of it. Clubs of that size (ie not the Chesters and Halifaxes of this world) always get extra lives.

Not an expert in anyway shape or form but I doubt they will be clearance before Sunday.
Presumably all they have to do is settle the tax bill with HMRC but I have no idea how long that would take.

Plus if Forest really did make a bid of £1 Million for Whittingham the rest of the league must really think Cardiff are struggling.

As for the player himself I always thought him massively overated. Good when he fancied it and then only for 60 minutes.

It's mainly because he combined that with a Michael Brown-esque goalscoring season last time out. Hadn't happened before and probably won't happen again.

I'd rather have Britton, and given the fact that Wigan wanted him and don't want Koumas so would they.

That's a good point Bob!

I think they both have their own qualities and strengths.

Koumas is seen as a bit of a lazy so and so, but has talent and can find the net with spectacular goals.

Where as Britton is a good link up player, keeps the ball well and I believe is considered a real team player.

I hope you're right tho Bob

that's because the welsh fa can't afford them to go bust or they'd only be left with swansea
