People turning on the team

I don't know, are they going to bother to try or give 100% or keep fit when not playing or not play like lower championship players?

I thought that we were fantastic tonight as we have been for the two previous games since we returned.
We've played like shit for three games. Played fantastic for probably 25 of the previous 28. People acting like we haven't just played three away games in a week after three months off with half the defence missing - but more importantly, people on here questioning the effort/mindset of the players. I don't buy into that.

I don’t give a shit about the last 28 games, I’m living for now, and the last 3 games have been pathetic.

Lets be clear here. We have had up until the last 3 games a fantastic season. Indeed a fantastic last few years compared to the rubbish we have seen. As much as I would not want to see it they can lose all the remaining games for me because they have earned the right to. ( worried yes I am a little) I will never forget some of the days out this year and I have been watching us 40 years plus. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and in truth I have not agreed with our team selection at times but turning against a team that has reignited its fans base would be a joke. However there is a real chance the people turning weren’t in the crowds back in the really dark days. Enjoy today as tomorrow is an unknown. Never for turning !

I typed out a long post about this but I'll just keep it simple instead.
Let's not do this now, shall we?
Quite right.

at Villa we were shit , just like at Eveerton but we should have had 3 points
At Newcastle we were shit but only fell apart when down to 10 men
Today we were beaten by a better side

We need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and get on on with Sunday

It's okay to say we have been shit, if we genuinely have been shit, you know.

No one's gunna think you are a lesser Blade.

The trick is to call it as you see it. And whilst we have been great for the majority of the a season, for the last three games we have been dog shit. Just say it, you can you know, it is ok to accept that.

If you listen to CWs interview tonight he lands it bang on again. He says we are playing badly at the moment, and we didn't compete or lay a glove on them. He's right. That's what is getting on people's pips at the moment, we didn't compete. Maybe you want to have a pop at CW for saying that as well?

We are not turning on the team but even Wilder is saying the players are not hitting the standards they have set and the standards he demands.

We have been dogshit. What I don't understand is how people suddenly flip and start going spare on the players who even got us here in the first place, calling into question if they are good enough rather than focusing on WHY they aren't playing up to their usual standard. We've had a thread on here calling McBurnie McShitty and one saying Mousset more interested in his Lambo than playing. Both have won us valuable points this season and both will again.

Think we all need to think back to 1990/1. Couldn't win for shit for months then went on a storming run and finished clear of relegation.

This season may turn out to be the reverse but even if we lose every game here on in it will still be a successful season, if a disappointing end to it.

We are all more than entitled to criticise the team, and I am sure in private Mr Wilder will be the fiercest critic, however, people do need to take a reality check.

I think our previous form and position has raised the expectation bar, and was probably not surprising we would see a dip in form at some point.

Disappointed and down tonight but proud that we have had a great season (few seasons), and proud that this squad and manager has put the club firmly back on the map as a top flight club.

I think most people can accept that level of sensible constructive critism. It's the End of the World stuff that instantly appears when things have gone bad that is unnecessary.

I can’t disagree with you more. started on the front foot. We’re on top for the first 10 mins and after the first half drinks break.
What it showed is we aren’t a top 10 premier league squad. Our best 11 are, as the league table showed pre lockdown.
I am proud to call them my team, disappointed we haven’t managed to regain the form that took us to 5th in the premier, disappointed we lost 3-0 to Man U a little, disappointed with the wrist slashers yes a little. Proud we will be in the premier league next season definitely. Hopeful we will continue our FA cup run. Missing going to the games in person most definitely.
I will continue to support my team through thick and thin grateful that I’ve seen the development of one of the best teams of my time in the knowledge that they aren’t the best but they are my best in the last 40 odd years of being a blade. I’m going to support the team and manager to hopefully make us better next season.

Most pathetic look at me, look at me post of the year. Fuckin grow up.

Call it how it is instead of looking for positives in absolutely everything. There are no positives in back to back 3-0 losses. Why can you not admit we’re playing shite? What’s past form got to do with anything?

It's more the fact that it's such a contrast to what we've seen in the past from this group of players, knowing that they're capable of so much more.

If we were in Norwich's position then fine, shit before, still shit now but we're not or at least didn't used to be.

Is it the lack of crowd, lack of fitness, believing the hype around Champions League football, knowing that they're safe from relegation which was the aim to begin with?

Arsenal will be the biggest test to show what this lot are made of now, knowing that they're potentially 2 games away from a cup final against an utterly spineless Arsenal team who are there for the taking, or would have been 2 months ago when they looked like they could be bothered.

Anything I say about United should have underneath it "I still love you, but yeah"

This is the best side I've ever watched, I like the players as people, great characters, and on the pitch they've made it so that every game, no matter who it's against, I believe we have a shot. I believed we had a chance to get points at Anfield, maybe a point, and same for the games against City.

Got to call a spade a spade though and we have been wanktastic since we came back, and comments about signing successes and failures and individual players rarely come from anywhere but what we can see with our own eyes on the pitch, but there's nothing I want more than for us to turn it round.

We were on top of nothing. We had a couple of short periods where we were doing ok. Actually getting around their penalty box. Probably less than 10 minutes. We certainly didn't force one save out of their keeper. We did have one shot on target, which deserves celebrations. I don;t expect to beat Man U, but I expect us to compete and make it difficult. They had a training game today.

Big difference in saying you dont give a shit about the first 28 games.

I think most fans really hoped that we would hit the ground running and is very disappointing that we haven't. What looked like being an exciting few weeks seems to be a distant dream after the last week. The impact of these injuries on our squad show what a nightmare the Europa League could be if we get there. Also Wilder was right that the 5 subs rule massively favours the top clubs.

That is Wilder's according to his interview and he doesn't think he has enough time in between matches to look at rectify it.

Before lockdown he said passion, effort and giving it everything was the minimum expectation.
