I have been on this forum for a few months and apart from the odd idiot have thoroughly enjoyed the banter and comment.
In a society that is generally quick to criticise and slow to praise, those working behind the scenes to support and entertain us can often be forgotten.
I don’t know who organises the forum, although several of you probably do, but I hope they don’t mind if I express thanks on all our behalves for all that they do. I trust that they feel sufficiently enthused to continue their good work !

In January I uninstalled Instagram, facebook & twitter off my phone which has made S24SU my main social media.

I find the good people on here are much more civilised and interesting compared to the toxicity I would encounter on social media accounts. I've had the pleasure of getting to know a few more personally over the years who are just as pleasant in person*

In normal times of when Sheffield United are playing; like many others I value the contributions of Roygbiv Deadbat and more recently I have really enjoyed the podcasts of Beans.

So yes - in summary thank you to Linz & Foxy for creating and gifting us a sanctuary on the WWW.

*Except for Silent Blade when I used to irritate him by leaving before the final whistle, you'll be glad to hear I don't anymore SB

And I’ve never in my life come across finer people than Foxy and Linz .
I prefer them both to my parents, wife and children In every single way.

Well. It's a long, long time since I was called a chabby, but I read the open part of the forum for many a year before actually joining. It was only then that I discovered the delights of General Chat and wondered what I had got myself into!! It didn't take me long to figure out who the numpties were and that although we all support United, we are a pretty disparate group, by and large. If I make it to 10 years, like you, I will be ready for my straight jacket

I love it on here and liken it to the banter that you have with your mates down the pub ( or used to until recently).

I don’t join in every thread but nearly always open all of them up and this site has been a god send, especially a couple of months ago when I was trying to cope with not been able to work.

Some posts are serious and some funny and I can’t wait for the match reaction posts to start up again as it’s compulsive reading for me.

I think it’s great that everyone has an opinion and shouldn’t be worried about posting it, obviously keeping within the rules so it’s good that I can be relaxed about saying to someone that I disagree with them whilst putting my view across.

Other comments, I read and think, shit I wish I’d thought of that.

All in all it’s a fantastic site with great people on it, all with one common inrterest, the mighty blades

I've stopped reading Twitter although I rarely posted.

I've maintained FB and Instagram for information purposes and the minority of people I care about. I've spent much less time on FB this last few days. Tbf before lockdown I only spent a few minutes a day on there but it's increased with the boredom.

The toxicity and utter nonsense from so many people on either side of the BLM debate has driven me away.

Living abroad the forum is essential,allthough I watch every Bladesgame on the screen, I can't wait for Deadbats view, Roys view from and all other comments from wise to pure stupidity. The past year has seen us build a bit more of international following and surely more 'foreigners' are on here. Regarding moaners, we have'em as everybody else, but compared to a lot of other clubs we did have quite a bit to moan about for too many years. Keep up the good work, it's appreciated and needed.
