All right you beautiful bunch of Blades now we know we have a return to football coming, we have time to think of how the fans can support the guys in an empty stadium whilst not getting screwed by the old fuzz, heck even all the exiled Blades like me could hopefully join in.

I'm sure we have plenty of fantastic minds within the fine ranks here, so who has any ideas?

I'm thinking of a combination of loud speakers plugged in to a mass phone call could work, or we could all get carrier pigeons to transport phones to the lane, the pigeons could take up the stands and we could all cheer through the phone.

love the mass phone call idea, i do wonder what kind of masts or servers a 32,000 person call would take though? would it be possible by streaming?

hows about this:

the club requests supporters to sing our regular chants/songs and submit them, and then the club compile every single persons voice to one mass crowd sing a long, and then play them throughout the match depending on the circumstances, which is voted on by pushing buttons on a twitch style stream (this wouldnt actually be out of the realms of possibility!)

God damn sir you just earned yourself a seat at the table that is genius.

I'm just throwing this idea out here but how long would it take to train a parrot to sing?

I know that some wouldn't like it, but I'd hope that at least GCB has this kind of treatment. They could just play one recorded at a match but it'd be a good bit of lockdown togetherness to have the GCB Lockdown Orchestra version submitted to the club and stuck together.

Saying that, I wouldn't fancy sticking them all together.

Having watched a fair bit of Bundesliga with just staff clapping and players talking, and with our players in this country swearing like dockers that have sat on a bike with no seat, fake crowd noise is getting piped in regardless, if it was interactive in someway that'd be neat.

Something I suggested in the Corona virus thread it was, and did actually email the club about, just under 2 weeks ago was having a link on their website that could be shared on forums, to allow us fans at home to use your, mob, pc, laptop/tablet mic, this would have then been fed into the lane audio speaker system.
Had no reply though.

It might look good on tv if the club could dig out the large flags they have out of storage and place them over the seats on the Kop and John street as well as inviting fans to bring their flags down for display also if they have the appropriate safety certification. Much better than cardboard cut outs of fans me thinks?

Surely it would be easy for 3 quid man to social distance walking round an empty stadium. I say, put the crowd noise in and let him walk around giving his sales pitch for a true match day experience.

Excellent idea. If we can also make sure that there’s no input at all from Gary Sinclair, I reckon this plan is now getting close to optimal.

Need to start harassing the players on Twitter then, cracking idea and well played sending in.

I listen to the radio a lot with the games and can always hear him even with Keith Edwards chatting away 😂
Dunno why you don't like Gary Sinclair, his voice is just expected at the lane anything else sounds wrong 😂

Oh god, please don’t get me started. Please! This is a time for happiness and generosity. I don’t want to sour the mood by thinking about that twat by being unkind to Gaz.

All entitled to our opinion mate I have no personal feelings for him what so ever, he is just one of many voices in my head

He might make a lot of questionable musical choices, but I think he deliberately goes on holiday mid season at least once a year to remind people of the state of those poised to step in, all of whom have been without exception absolutely appalling.

It's important to get some banners and flags in to make sure the stands don't look completely bare.

A large colourful print of crowd photos of our fans along the bottom of the Kop would be good, with something similar on John St.

Fans should be invited to take any flags in and place them over the seats.

Regarding noise, pipe it in but with attention to detail. I've noticed in Germany they play it corresponding to what's happening on the pitch. Also have the noise coming from the Kop end if any in particular.

And let's just not make any videos of fans on the big screen too cheesy.

No chance fans will be invited into the ground. Could possibly take somewhere to then be washed/ treated before placement.

I'm arranging a few coaches for fans to turn up outside the grounds to sing GCB before each half.

£100pp packages available, includes complimentary can of your choice and ham/cheese sandwiches.

As people are suggesting flags & banners, I'm going to make a point about the difference in Fan Culture between England & Germany. In a few Bundesliga Restart games, Ultra Fans hung banners in their sections which were critical of the restart. Along the lines of "Ghost Games Shouldn't Be Happening Because They're Shit, etc". People started asking - why would the Clubs allow that, flags in their own stadium openly criticising the restart games, why allow them?
The response was simple - we have 50%+1 Fan Ownership here in Germany, the people hanging those critical banners own the Club, we wouldn't want to stop them, and indeed can't.
Imagine that here in AmeriChinSaudRus owner land.
