So give up on this season and make a start on the court cases now instead of in a couple of months?
This season already ruined, any trophies are tainted. Knock it on the head and start afresh next season.Since your supporters seem to be few and far between, I'll throw my hat into the ring here. I agree with pretty much everything you have said.
I don't see any of us stepping for into a football ground to watch a match this year.
Were it down to me, I'd cancel the 20/21 season now and commit to finishing this season in whatever time is available next year.
No pissing around. Clear direction for all clubs which is what is needed right now so they can plan.
I am serious, if other people were the situations where virus' are being spread amongst the vulnerable would not be arising.Yes like a hospital. People with contagious diseases are taken there because the alternative is to leave them unassisted. Are you serious?
Yes, ecay like a care home. Like the dozens of cases worldwide where the disease has spread quickly through care homes.
Young people getting sick is not the point. You poeple providing a way for the disease to spread rapidly, and the damage that could do is.
Everyone has a degree of reluctance but life has to move on at some point. The pampered footballers will have far more protection than the rest of us. Yes they will be less than 2 metres apart but there are risks for all of us when we venture out. Restart again in September and then what? The scenario is exactly the same. ..... or do we put the whole world on standby? Funny how people are worried about footballers yet our supermarket workers etc take risks going into work almost everyday and I don’t hear the clamour to close them while September and rely on deliveries. The modern day footballer like Aguero is no different to the rest of us apart from the fact he is currently earning daft money for doing nothing and is happy to let everyone else take the risks bar himself. He, and his teammates, opposition, staff etc will be tested and have far more protection than the rest of us. Let’s just get the season finished. I wonder if we will have the same discussion in September when (possibly) the 20/21 season starts and we still have no vaccine? When Segio Aguero doesn't want to play the whole thing is a farce. How many players want to actually play? Playing at neutral benues, playing abroad FFS it's a joke. Just end it, use PPG like France and have done with it.
I got texted this, probably bollocks but decide for yourselves:
THIS FROM A MATE WHO’S A TRAVEL WRITER:
Premier league is back in June. A sport travel agency that manages logistics for some top teams (spurs, city, wolves, newcastle, rangers to name a few).
Has been tasked with arranging hotels and travel for 8 weeks starting mid may.
All premier league teams will play their remaining games at St. George’s Park, behind closed doors and for TV only. The complex will host 2/3 games a day that will be streamed live.
The players will go into isolation mid may at select hotels in the vicinity of st georges and will train at local clubs grounds.
They will not be able to see family and friends during the period of games. Each player will be tested regulary to ensure safety and hotels will be locked down for players only.
Looks like we are going to have a world cup style June with loads of games to watch.
Dont see how with 28131 deaths todate anyone can be confident in planning for any return.I got texted this, probably bollocks but decide for yourselves:

Facilitating football would have no bearing on this, the responsibility is in the hands of the individual. (Your partner had to work? Don't go and see anybody vulnerable.)
Think it’s inevitable a degree of collateral damage will be planned for in slowly building up a herd immunity until a vaccine is rolled out. This herd immunity will be planned on the assumption that a vaccine will never be found and we will be more resilient if we slowly allow it to run it’s natural course. Not nice but I think it’s inevitable to some degree.Point 5 is the problem. I don’t see how you avoid a second peak if you have any sort of meaningful end to the lockdown without a vaccine or cure being available.
So give up on this season and make a start on the court cases now instead of in a couple of months?
What if it turns out to be safe to resume in January 2021 but most clubs only have 9 matches to play over the 18 weeks available?
Why cancel anything until the timescale available is clearer?
Not what I said at all...
I'm sure they'll think of something. League cup with an added group stage?
Because businesses, and football clubs are businesses, need certainty. Yes you might lose an opportunity to be back a few weeks earlier, but at least clubs, and leagues can plan accordingly.
The whole reason people are clamouring to get restarted is because they can see the knock one to other seasons creeping up.
What if we attempt to start, and then have to stop again, then what? Try again in Sep?
Clean break, make it clear what's happening. Borrow against future TV contacts and give, not loan, to L1 and below to allow them to mothball their clubs until we restart.

The (only) point you made was that young people spread the disease to old people (I read 'vulnerable' - you see if you try and understand it's easy).I don't know what to say to that. It makes no sense and has no relation to my point.
Has it gone for a Burton ?I thought it was mentioned on the news this morning that St George's Park was ruled out for some reason![]()
Why not ? The clubs and Premier League will ensure health precautions are taken before and after the games. The impact on the spread of the virus will be negligible on the public and NHS.There is no way this will happen at all.

I said playing football (the way it is speculated that it will be) will have no bearing on that. I further made the point that it is, as it has been since the start of the pandemic down to individuals to stop the spread, if you need to see your nan every weekend knowing full well you could take an infectious disease to her then that is the individual's lookout.
We are not going to see eye to eye on this but I suspect you aren't trying to understand you're just repeating platitudes.
There is no way this will happen at all.

Convinced it will happen at some point. Early June does feel too soon but then it is still a while away. It won't be easy to do and unless the premier league brings the EFL with it the delay to next season is a whole new issue.
Unless the boffins at Oxford or elsewhere can move fast on a vaccine then this seems like the only other way.
not sure about all those ideas but certainly a loan to help football out across those board should be being taken out now, with interest rates on the floor there would not be a better time to take a loan out.
The loan would be billions to cover all running costs of football clubs. The interest rates might be low (no guarantees of that), but it would still need paying back eventually. After a year of little to no income, that won’t be easy.

True, a lot of clubs are going to have to go part time at best to ease costs. I fear many will go bust. Football is going to look very different in 12 months time.
To be honest, I’ve always thought 100+ professional clubs was never sustainable and maybe this has been the straw that broke the camels back.
Maybe more regionalised leagues that are semi professional is the answer.
