Ending the season now seems like a fairly intelligent idea.
We can keep on keeping on dragging it out and talking about locked doors and no travel to games in Europe.
Perhaps someone should simply make a decision.
Everyone will then know where they stand, clubs can get organised, players can consider their position, does so-and-so from wherever actually want to come and pay for United and, who knows, someone might come up with an idea of what next season will look like.

The problem is that each domestic governing body has looked at it differently so there’s obviously going to be pressure on those that haven’t voided the season to do so.

The problem with England is that it’s completely unique to any other domestic football pyramid in the world in that attendances in the 4th are higher than some top division football in other countries. So much more seems to ride on football in England (mainly because of the money that’s in it) which is why we are so much more reluctant to void it.

Think the English governing bodies are the only ones to face pressure to not void it from the fans, whereas everywhere else seems to be the opposite.

Because theres been no definitive decision from an umbrella governing body then this will continue to rumble on. Uefa’s stance seems to be as long as you do it on merit and we still have a European competition to stage then we’re not bothered what you do....which to me vindicates the decision of the FA to just leave it as it is. Although, UEFA may have made a rod for their own back if the major European leagues don’t line up again when all their seasons kick off.

I like your optimisim that Bournemouth villa & Norwich are all going to accept relegation, or leeds, west brom & any 1 of 4 from 3rd - 6th are going to accept no promotion. in the 0.000000001% that clubs will think of the good of the game above themselves then yes we could do that. we all know thats not going to happen.

but also why are ending this season when their is no guarantee we might have a 2020/21 season. 2021 season shouldn't even be thought of now. once we finish the league however & whenever that maybe, with fans or no fans then we should think about if we have to fit in a season before euro 2021
