Blades players who were utterly shit with no redeeming qualities whatsoever (hard mode- nobody from the last decade)

Same as rush expected so much more.

Generally invisible all match, I can't believe he thought he was good enough to start let alone demand it.

Finnieston - quality but always injured, always. Think we got our money back through insurance.

How come you aren't knocking them in for United like he is for Leicester?
(What was Moore like as a coach? That is very curious he was such a bad player).

Always makes me cringe when I see him included in things like this, and certainly one about footballers with no redeeming features, ebbrell was a class player, and I was incredibly excited when we signed him

If I remember he had a continuing ankle problem but obviously passed the medical

Unfortunately hurt it on debut, and then went for surgery which went wrong, making it even worse

Forced to retire very early, a shame, was a great baller
The issue on his medical wasn’t his ankle, apparently. There was something else that meant the medical team advised management to stay clear (in quite vociferous terms, if what I heard was to be believed). However, we had to buy him...

Richard Edghill, played one match away at Ipswich, we were cruising and he was so poor in every possible facet of the game that whilst he didn't cost us the eventual 3-2 defeat he certainty contributed. Crap.

Can't remember where I saw it, might have been the transfer deadline day video but the lead of the medical team said everybody fails the medical passing is a misnomer, it's whether they are acceptable fails or not. God knows what they put people through or maybe they just work the players until failure.

Richard Cadette, the 5 foot 1 target man. Signed with much fanfare for £125000 part funded by the Blades Revival. What a pile of utter, utter wank he was. To be honest the 1987-88 side still sends shivers down my spine.
I think he scored against the pigs in a pre season friendly

The worst individual performance Bert has ever seen was Simon Francis away at Forest.

Difficult to find someone with no redeeming qualities whatsoever as even Montgomery’s ability to trap the ball the full length of the pitch was considered a quality by Blackwell.

Ahmed fathi, Hai haidong and no shit list should be made without Bobby ford being on it.

I've always had an intense dislike for players who go through the motions of appearing to be involved in the game , but never actually take the trouble to do so for most of the time .

Jamie Hoyland was pretty adept in that respect but paled into insignificance when compared to one Paul Thirwell who , by the time he came to us , had perfected this into a fine art and I fucking hated him for it .

Once while gently pointing out to him from the stands that he too was allowed to have a kick , the bloke next to me who turned out to be a professional scout turned to me and said " He's been doing this all his career , I don't know how he 's got away with it ".

To add context for those who are fortunate enough not to have seen him , he made Dean Hammond look like a proper grafter .

Tbf though, no one can really say that Thirlwell was shit though, as they would have needed to see him kick the feckin ball at some point, and the jury is out on whether anyone actually saw the lazy arsed twat ever do that in a Utd shirt.

A few names from me, Lee Baxter, Andy Goram, Andy Leaning, Andy Barnsley, Paul Richardson, Tony Moore, Steve Charles, Paddy McGeeny, Mark Blount, Mark Foran, Paul fall on mi arse Williams, Barry Butlin, Jordan Stewart, Marcus Williams, Nyron Nosworthy, Mark the coward Howard, Phil Thompson, Tony Towner, Steve Cammack, Pedro Verde, Les Tibbott, Johnthan Cullen, Cliff Powell, Peter Withe, Wally Downes, Darren Carr, Davy Gijetbrechts, Axel Smeets, Terry Cunt-an, Derek Richardson, Michael Twiss, Billy Paynter, Simon Lappin, Johannes Ertl, Darryl Westlake, Marlon King, Michael Hippo Higdon, Jay McEveley, Dean Hammond, Don Peattie, Stewart Houston, Jimmy Johnstone, Steve Faulkner, Trenton Wigan, Martyn Woolford, Len de Goey, Laurent Tenshovels, Jeff Eckhardt, and Ian Hamilton.

Proper good rant that and I can't argue with most of them , though it's a shame you missed out Nicky Henry . :)

I just weren’t good enough haha the old try make a player from an athlete. Not sure why Vardy got released or how much of a part Moore played in his release.

as for Moore he wasn't great at all used to make me Dad chuckle that our worse ever player was coaching the future of Wednesday

Derek Richardson
Colin Franks
Darren Carr
Terry Garbutt
Denis Longhorn
Viv Busby
Ray Lewington
Michael Twiss
Laurens Ten Heuvel

I could keep going!

Some bad calls here. Whitehurst and Smith both offered plenty, including goals. And David White was one of the best dribblers I ever saw, loved to get chalk on his boots, that lad. Unfortunately, the chalk was picked up from the halfway line prior to running it out on the opposite wing.

Also, if we’re talking any redeeming features at all- Craig Beattie was positionally one of the best strikers we had for a long period. He’d get into great situations and then miss from point blank range.

For me, and not listed so far: Mervyn Day (don’t come at me with that penalty save, I could have stopped that one), and David Bardsley, the most arrogant, lazy and self-inflated player I’ve ever seen. He was no better that Gus or Nyron for us, but thought he was Premier League. Which I suppose he was. But that’s not the point.

Seem to recall Thompson slagging off the fans in "his" weekly programme column more than once.

A real "don't you know who I am?" player who demanded special treatment because he won the European Cup before his knees went. To Rush's credit, I don't remember him doing that.
I had no idea he played for us. To me he's that Liverpool pundit who is normally complementary about us.

Here’s a few nuggets straight off the top of my head but the list will be extensive !

Nyron ‘ triangle head ‘ Nosworthy
Paul Richardson
Paul Williams
Geoff Horsfield
James Harper
Marlon King
Higdon
John Ebrell
Nicky Johns
Andy Leaning

the most arrogant, lazy and self-inflated player I’ve ever seen.
Was he more arrogant than the great Manchester star James Wilson currently marking time at Salford until Manchester United see the error of their ways and give him the £200k week contract he so richly deserves?
