Precisely... players getting to much money. Bring wages down in sport and entertainment its obscene!!
I just like the thought of you not knowing how old you are, class! As season ticket holders, me and my son get into a home match for around £24. That's for both of us, not each. And that's for PL footy.
He's a student, I'm a 60 something year old.
Wouldn't expect a refund. It will all come out in the wash.
If you ask for reimbursement before we start playing again then you may be entitled to it but if you ask for reimbursement after that then you shouldnt be entitled to it.I would expect this even if the season is completed behind closed doors and ST holders are given free access to the live stream, I didn’t pay for that, I payed for the live atmosphere. But the club does have quite a few options to reimburse supporters if we are all flexible.
Asking for reimbursement before we start playing again is something I never considered, and never will, but your comment on after we start playing is interesting. If you ask for reimbursement before we start playing again then you may be entitled to it but if you ask for reimbursement after that then you shouldnt be entitled to it.
If we are playing behind closed doors then, as a seasonticket holder I expect free access to the livestream. If you are not a seasonticket holder, I imagine that for access to the livestream, it would cost more than 30% what you paid for your season ticket. We have only 4 home PL games left for this season.Asking for reimbursement before we start playing again is something I never considered, and never will, but your comment on after we start playing is interesting.
If we did restart the season behind closed doors the club could be in a position to say, we are playing a match, your seat is available but the government says you can’t use it, see them for your refund not us.
I suppose we are in unprecedented times, and we’ll just have to wait and see.
Something else just occurred to me; what if we restart the season and due to social distancing the crowd was cut by 75% with every fourth seat occupied. I’m sure some people who say they wouldn’t want a refund in those circumstances would change their mind as they would be missing out.
I can’t answer that one.
Read your T&C's before you buy your next ticket and STFU moaning.I know I’m a bit late to this one but I’m a little confused by how many people wouldn’t want a refund.
Lets hope any discussion is entirely academic and the league find a way to finish the season, but for now my personal opinion is that I should be refunded.
I entered into a contract with Sheffield United, my part of the contract was to pay 400 ish quid and their part of the contract was to supply me with a seat for 19 home premier league matches.
So far I have received 88% of the service I payed for, so I would expect 12% of my money refunded.
This is where the situation is different from any other service I have dealt with because I would not expect a cash refund.
I would however accept.
A 12% discount on next years season ticket, (before any early bird offer).
The equivalent in discounts for next years cup matches.
or in discounts from the club shop.
or for next seasons match day programs or food outlets inside the Lane.
I would expect this even if the season is completed behind closed doors and ST holders are given free access to the live stream, I didn’t pay for that, I payed for the live atmosphere. But the club does have quite a few options to reimburse supporters if we are all flexible.
Not even entered my head to consider a refund. The prices last season were announced before we knew which division we would be in this seasonSuppose the season ended tomorrow with remaining fixtures to not be played, would you ask for a pro-rated refund of the home games unplayed?
I wouldn't out of affinity to the club. I'm a supporter first, not a customer. But people who spend large sums on family tickets may feel differently.
Read your T&C's before you buy your next ticket and STFU moaning.
I really am sick of people with this me me me attitude always fucking moaning, this will cost them money, that will cost them money, Oh I need to queue at ASDA to make sure I'm first in to panic buy blah blah blah. I come on here for a bit of relief from the news and we have a thread for fans moaning they haven't got their moneys worth.
Fuck me. No wonder they are confused that quite a few are not worried about refunds, not everyone is selfish and self centred you know thank heavens.

Football fans are asking for refunds from Sky/BT due to no live sport being broadcast. Is that ok?
It’s basically asking for a refund from United via Sky/BT.
Perhaps it is me being a bit daft or old fashioned. But aren't we supporters anymore?
I’m sure thIs season will be completed at some point. But once this horrendous situation peaks in the UK, I’m fairly sure the last thing on peoples mind will be a partial refund on their season ticket. whatever their financial situation.
To do so even now. seems incredibly petty and insensitive, when you consider people across the UK are losing their lives?
But on the subject, Sheffield United have the most affordable season tickets in the Premier League, as supporters we have had amazing value for money for the last 4 seasons.
If I was in the clubs commercial department, I would issue a refund to every season ticket holder who requested one and remove them from the database. I’d then freeze next years season ticket prices for existing holders and increase them in by 15% for new applicants.![]()
Don't click on a thread titled "season ticket refunds" then?
Refund all those who want their 12%. Charge a 15% admin fee plus postage.
Jobs a good ‘un.
More to worry about l’d say.
If that were to happen, and it hit social media, all the clubs hard work building up a well-deserved reputation as a value for money, honest, fan friendly club would be destroyed over night.
Terrible idea.
People are different, as are their circumstances. For what it's worth, I'm a season ticket holder, I won't personally be asking for anything back, we've had the best value we've had in years...but that doesn't make me a bigger Blade than someone who wants to.
Let them
I can see why it'd get on others nerves as I suppose the argument is we all had enough to buy them in the first place, but things change. Folk are going to be short, we're headed into a worldwide crisis. Let's let it go eh, bigger stuff happening, UTB
I must’ve been writing my post as you finished yours, my thoughts entirely.People are different, as are their circumstances. Why shouldnt Metal Blade, or anyone else, look at threads to see their content?
So you have bothered to look up the T&C's but can't be bothered to read them? What a fucking hero you are write up for a gold Blue Peter badge, just make sure you don't overcharge you elderly neighbours to make up for your ST shortfall.I fail to see how you consider a well reasoned opinion as moaning, but just in case I missed something, can you point me to the section in the T&C’s where I should be looking, the specific section where it lays out the conditions for matches that are not played due to circumstances beyond the clubs control.

As the other stuff, I’ll just take it you’re having a bad day and letting off steam because I don’t shop at ASDA, I don’t panic buy.
I’ll ask my elderly neighbours how self centred and selfish I am next time I drop off their essentials and let you know.

It is a quite pointless thread though except if you just want to moan. There are no refunds for games that are rescheduled under any circumstances. He's completely free to look at the content of any thread, however you missed the point completely; if he only wants to read "light relief" and specifically wants to avoid threads that involve "fans moaning they haven't got their moneys worth", he probably shouldn't click on a thread titled "season ticket refunds".
Is that point particularly controversial?
