Season Ticket Refunds

He's completely free to look at the content of any thread, however you missed the point completely; if he only wants to read "light relief" and specifically wants to avoid threads that involve "fans moaning they haven't got their moneys worth", he probably shouldn't click on a thread titled "season ticket refunds".

Is that point particularly controversial?

Can you reconcile that first line with this?

“Don't click on a thread titled "season ticket refunds" then?”

Of course he’s free to look. Telling him not to was my point.

I’d hardly describe Metal Blade as a person who just uses the forum for “light relief”.

That's not the topic under discussion. The OP was clearly talking about refunds if the season is cancelled.

I think all of us understand a delay without refund is completely understandable given the circumstances. So who are you arguing with?
Obviously NOT everyone understands the T&C's but let's not let that get in the way of a good old whinge eh. At the end of the day it all comes down to money with some people.

With the way we’ve performed and how the club backed wilder and knill in the market they can keep all my money from the season tickets I bought, anybody thinking the club isn’t under some financial pressure due to premier league millions should think again, money coming in has increased, but so has the outgoings.. the player wages would make your eyes water..

I want nothing back, think I’ve had my money’s worth.. UTB

This thread is people discussing whether there will be refunds if the season is cancelled, and you keep banging on about something in the terms and conditions that specifically mentions games being rescheduled. The point you keep labouring on has no relevance.

I'm not a season ticket holder, but I'm stunned that you think it wouldn't be right to get a refund. You aren't donating to a charity, the players earn millions.
They do. The most part from Sky money. Refunds to Sky TV will be the biggest worry for the fa and clubs, ticket holders will most likely get refunds / tickets in lieu.

The tangent the thread has moved onto is one poster wanting his12% back should the season be cancelled. That’s the point current replies are discussing.

You suggested that one poster shouldn’t click on the link if he didn’t like the subject matter. Where’s the discussion in that? That’s the only thing said that has zero validity.

The thread has no relevance either the season has not and is unlikely to be cancelled. The point of the T&C's was covered on page 2 post #23 if anyone cares to read it before they moan, seems to me that they don't want to read it. The statement from the Premier League earlier this week also made the thread redundant yet we still have people whinging that they are not getting 12% of what they paid for. Makes me sick to be honest far more important things to worry about if you ask me.

The players still get paid, the club takes any hit. As things stand with no further income coming in, it’s a drain on the clubs resources.

He’s played the “are you okay” card. You’re disqualified.......

I would have thought that if the season was cancelled the clubs would have talked about issues such as this before making a joint statement.
Why it’s crossing anyone’s mind at this time is beyond me, however if the season were cancelled I vote that my share of any refund goes to the local non league teams. ( unless the efl kick Wednesday out of the league, they can fuck off)

Yeah, with an extended season, there's a finance gap.
I wonder what the reaction would be if any Prem club tries to claim 80% of players wages

I think it would be reasonable to offer some sort of discount for next season’s st...whenever that is. Not exactly a priority right now.

We are talking about contracts and wanting the club to stand by them. This means that they also have to stand by the players wage contracts and Sky contracts, BT contracts and foreign TV companies contracts. Reduced income received, fines for inability to fulfil matches and competitions are all probably written into contracts somewhere. If everyone went by the letter of the contract, there probably wouldn’t be a club left by the end of it. As much as there are millions and millions slushing around in prem football, the penalties would be colossal! This is why I think the season will be finished and, if we care about our club may need to be patient. Don’t forget, Sky are not supporters of our club, just contractors providing a money source.

My personal view as a ST holder is that I wouldn't want a refund. The budgets for his season would have been set based on the forecasted income for the season. If (and it's a big if) the season is cancelled or forced to be played behind closed doors then the preference would be for a discount on next years ST renewal.

They could probably claim. However, they are required to train, even at home, under club guidelines so they wouldn't technically be laid off. There is also a cap of £2500 which is probably a couple of days of so. They would need to supplement their wage then to at least 50% otherwise they would be regarded as being on short-time rather than laid off and which they can do for only a limited period and the player would then automatically be able to claim redundancy. I suspect we will be paying full 😂

One way to “repay” S/T holders might be to provide us all with next season’s home shirt or something? Many would be happy enough with this and it has the added bonus of turning the Lane even more red and white next season.

Anyone heard anything further re what's happening with the refunds for the 4 games we missed due to covid?

It gets applied as a credit on your renewal.

I emailed the club last week for a refund as my circumstances have changed and they were more than willing to help 👍

OK cheers pal have they refunded you then?
