Postpone, play behind closed doors or carry on?

If games are played being closed doors are still on the TV, people will just pack into pubs. Surely being in such confined spaces is more dangerous than being in a stadium

This is why they are talking about a ban on bt and sky showing games in pubs to go alongside the matches being played behind closed doors

Fucking hell, seeing so many self-professed experts on here and social media spouting their ill-founded ideas, generally along the lines of ‘it’s not as bad as flu’, ‘it’s a media overreaction’ and so on makes me understand why the country voted for Brexit. It also makes me sad.
Here’s a tip: if an expert suggests a course of action, it’s because they’re an expert, and they’re basing that on knowledge, experience and understanding of the issue. They know better than you, regardless of how clever you think you are or how much you think ‘sheeple’ need to stop listening to mainstream media.

We're all enjoying a fantastic season but let's get some perspective.

If games get postponed or the season moved back or whatever, so what?

If the experts think it's for the best to save lives, help the economy, reduce the NHS burden, go with it.

Let's look at a worse case scenario of the EPL season being finished early, although I can't see that happening.
Would they not use a 'Pools Panel' to assess the games to be played and award results and points based on the Panels assessment?
Obviously it would be a complete lottery and we would have to hope that Garth Crooks and Mark Lawernson wasn't on the panel!
That said, I'm sure that they'd find a way to ensure ManUre, Spurs and Arsenal all finished in the European places!

I'd imagine they'd have to go down that kind of route although possibly something based on stats or computer simulations rather than the usual Premier League method of 3 West Ham Legends sat round a pub table.

But what if these experts are giving conflicting advice on e.g. the need to put countries into lockdown?

You don't need to be an expert in anything to find the total number of deaths attributed to flu and the total attributed to COVID-19.

Trust that those in power are being advised by the most suitable people and can dissect the arguments appropriately

From Italy:

"Should the Covid-19 emergency not allow for the conclusion of the league competitions, President Gravina put forward proposals that will be discussed in the Federal Council meeting scheduled for 23 March. Without any order of priority, one option would be to not assign the Scudetto title and consequently inform UEFA of the teams who have qualified for Europe. Another would be to refer to the table as it stood up until the moment the season was interrupted. A third and final hypothesis would be to organise play-offs for the title of Champion of Italy and play-outs to decide who is relegated to Serie B."

The older I get, the less faith I have in so-called "experts".
Common sense is probably more reliable.

Invite all the clubs for a long bloodbath of a weekend – 4/5 games both days, 60 minutes each, no crowds, no tv, results released in July to keep everyone guessing.

Bottom line, and apologies if it's already been asked - in this case, does Behind Closed Doors = not televised?

100% selfish POV, but I'm an Exiled Blade anyway, so my main concern is will BCD games be on the telly.

If you're outside the UK, then i'm sure they will still be televised.

They need the broadcasters cameras to be there for VAR anyway...
