I was going to pick one or two to celebrate another famous Sheffield Double today

The beauty of the internet, The fact that it has coincided with the amazing achievements of CW/AK and the absolute dog shite @S6 is just the icing on the cakeball:cool:

I heard one say theyd still sneak into the playoffs only last week. Even a season ticket holding grunter told him to shut up.

3-0 down by halftime in four of their last five league games. Attendances are sinking like a stone and The fans have almost completely turned on Monk. Bizarrely they don't really blame the players and some even want Bullen to replace Monk as they think he'll bring back some of the flops that have been frozen out.

They'll go down next season if the points deduction doesn't get them this year and they won't be back anytime soon. They need a complete clear out of the entire playing and coaching staff and a rebuild from the ground up, but that isn't going to happen while theyre under a chairman who'll desperately try to recover as much of his losses as possible.

That whole club is completely fucked.
Yes, they are in such a mess, but they do have an opportunity to sort it out over the next year (9 big wage earners drop of the books in June) if they manage this summer really well.

All they need is a strong clear leadership plan and a top class manager and they could be a threat again in 2021/22 ;-)

But there were just too many to choose from.
Help yourselves and feast on these my fellow Blades:

That is priceless what fools they make of them selves .One of them did get something right when he said we would not last in the championship he was correct we got promoted.Same this year one said on sheffield forum he can not wait for us to get hammered every week in the prem.Well he is still waiting .Now how did they do this weekend?😂😂

Delicious seem to be their adjective of choice, and indeed they were spot-on but, perhaps, not exactly in the way they meant it.😁

Has a club ever had a good season when you’ve got key players whose contracts run out at the end of the season? It seems fundamental to me. What player would jeopardise his chance of getting a new contract at another club by getting injured going in for a hard tackle or sprinting to catch someone if your calf or ham feels a touch tight? I wouldn’t even play unless I was 100%, I just wouldn’t risk it.

It won't happen .They have no assets to sell they have no money the league will not let them spend anything even if they had and what top class manager would take that job?The ground is a complete mess which requires millions to bring it up to date. Some one even thought it was a toilet last week😁but their biggest problem is themselves. They still believe they are a part of the elite of the football world and insist that when they add to the playing staff it must be a big name player who has had his best days behind him the problem is they come with big wage demands and the whole sorry state of affairs starts all over again.
They want a lesson on football management in how to run a club without money .We are very lucky we have a man who when he came was all clude up on that part of being a manager thanks to him being a past manager of clubs who had now't.Now we were not overflowing with cash and he signed players who he knew were decent for nothing Fleck ,Stevens, Basham,Duffy and a few more all were for now't or very little all unknown and most at the end of their contracts so he got them for peanuts. What are they worth now?NO BIG NAMES but lots to prove.Even our manager was a unknown but he was on the up not on the way down which they at Sheff 6 would not entertain after all they are massive .No club as big as them would take a manager who is an unknown or players who are unknown,it is all to much beneath a club like theirs.THEY ARE MASSIVE.a BIT LIKE A BEACHED WHALE REALLY.

“ Some of of their comments about Wednesday are astonishing. They want to believe so badly that we’re just an expensively assembled shambles. They really want to believe that they’ve got this special “team” that somehow trumps ours, just because we’ve spent a lot. Their way of doing it (lower league gems spotted by the scouting mastermind that is Chrissy Wilder) is obviously much better than our way (signing proven players with experience of promotion from this division)”

My no 1 favourite comment - if only this person could re-read his/her own words

To be fair to many of those fans, they are expressing what a tough league the Championship is and now they are proving that week in week out , so they weren't wrong in that regard.

What they completely mis-judged was our manager and players. I suspect a few are still saying that they wouldn't have Fleck over Bannon

As for their season 3 or 4 wins on the bounce and they will be back in play off contention.
Don't mention the bounce you will upset them. 😁

Is there any way we can crowd-fund a leaflet drop at the sty on match day? These quotes are getting framed and hung on my wall alongside this year's Blades Calendar.

“These are the facts; Promoted with a weak team. None of which would get anywhere near our first team. Signed weak, lower league players.”

Who are now challenging for a champions league place.

“Praise or grumble is going to be delicious next season when reality bites

And Brentford are by no means a good side, but they have players who can really hurt you. They don’t “
“Not a chance in hell Clarke is going to be good enough “
“I reckon they’ll be minding a gap of 30+ points.”

Pick any of these eulogies whilst cleaning your teeth in the morning and have a nice day.

And another big thank you.
There was one guy who got it almost right...

“they will be lucky to be in the same half of the table as us “

...though can't work out why he thought that would be lucky.

Mrs KIMD isn't from Sheff, and whilst she'll occasionally watch United, she doesn't properly get the pigs rivalry, not in the same way as someone who grew up in it would.
I really understand this, I left Sheffield in '84 when both Sheffield teams had nothing to shout about, then Wednesday had their ascendancy and even though we were top flight they were just that bit better. I wasn't in Sheffield and didn't know any Wednesday fans where I worked so although United's situation wasn't ideal I didn't have some dickhead thrusting it in my face repeatedly. Last year I went to a pub somebody else had chosen which had the derby on TV there was a Wednesday fan there who I vaguely knew. It was still all about how they were going to sort us out and he couldn't say a word without calling me 'piggy' even after i reminded him he wasn't at school and was in fact over 40. It drives it home how much stupidity I had missed by not being in Sheffield during Wednesday's glory year.
