In many games Henderson is a spectator.

For the first 80 minutes today Henderson hardly touched the ball
but one of his strengths is concentration....he can have nothing to do for 30 minutes then pull out a brilliant save.

All having astonishing seasons, as is JOC. However, the must important player remains Egan - workout him Utd would be a far weaker side, will have conceded many more goals and won far fewer points

It’s a good shout that. I think Egan has been immense. But so has Henderson and Fleck. Basham is such a competitor, love him to bits, but sometimes when I watch him it’s almost like he shouldn’t really be a footballer, but somehow he is! And he makes a great contribution to the team.

Tbh it is so hard to call.

I’d probably go for Fleck because I don’t think he’s ever been less than an 8/10 this season. And he’s competing against the best midfielders in the world. That’s some achievement!

Overall I'd say Fleck but today I was astonished that John Egan didn't get even nominated for man of the match today let alone won it. Absolute Rolls Royce of a performance from him today.

I think players like Egan (and Norwood with his passes) do such a good job at what they do that no-one even notices. Not flash, just 100% consistent

3 years ago, Enda Stevens had signed for us from Portsmouth and we were on route to Devon from Spain taking the Cherbourg to Portsmouth ferry and I got talking to a group of Portsmouth fans.
I asked them about Enda and they to a man said "Great player, he'll do well for your team!"
And the rest as they say, is history
