Frontrunners for POTY for me - any thoughts? All three seem to get better and better each week. And there’s a long shortlist beneath them.

Disagree, not about Fleck being one of the best midfielders but I think Bash has a greater overall influence on our performance therefore I'm going for him

Fleck was immense today. Thought he really stepped up and reminded us all that whilst Freeman had a good game in the cup, Fleck is the master.

Similarly that right sided trio of Bash, Baldock and Lunny just ran them ragged

Basham is superb. He literally just wants it more than any other opposition player. Won’t ever take a step back, won’t ever quit, and huge quality as well.

All having astonishing seasons, as is JOC. However, the must important player remains Egan - workout him Utd would be a far weaker side, will have conceded many more goals and won far fewer points

It's hard to pick. Norwood and Fleck are two midfielders of the kind I've dreamed of us having since I was a kid.

Stevens and Baldock have both stepped up and with the amount of ground they cover must be the two fittest players in the league.

but one of his strengths is concentration....he can have nothing to do for 30 minutes then pull out a brilliant save.

All were great today but Bash, if that lad could find the net more he would be the best player in the country. For me he has legendary status at the lane as do several members of this squad.

Toughest POTY since I've supported Blades. They should all receive accolades. I initially agreed with your post and then though "but what about Egan? O'Connell? and the wing backs have come on leaps and bounds" I just have no clue.

Gun to my head, Fleck probably but who knows. Maybe Fleck player's player and Bash fans' player would be the best outcome.

Bash has proved me wrong if I’m honest, he’s been great this year. Great Pro and will go down in Blades folklore for years to come for the way he’s stepped up to the mark and through our journey and he’s been instrumental in many ways.

We will no doubt be looking for a replacement though as he’s won’t last forever and we need a replacement soon.

Overall I'd say Fleck but today I was astonished that John Egan didn't get even nominated for man of the match today let alone won it. Absolute Rolls Royce of a performance from him today.

Fleck gets into most midfields in the league and Henderson walks into all but 2 or 3 nets. They’re our two best players by an absolute country mile.
