just been talking ta my mate of years gone by and the midweek night match at wrexham came up where we had to take our shoes off in the ground then it fuckin snowed
i think it was late 70's i know we lost but he see it were 4nowt anybody else there?

I remember this. Plod wouldn't allow work boots into the ground and some Blades had gone straight from the steelworks or the pit (before Maggie shut them all down).

I didn’t go to the midweek game but a Saturday one
At least I saw a goal in our 4-1 defeat
However at Newport all I got to see was a John Aldridge hat trick in our 4-0 defeat
Imagine the shoutbox with those scores
