I don’t think there are two players in any other prem team who have contributed towards their teams success more than these two this season

They are absolutely wonderful
Can’t argue with that !

Alexander-Arnold and Robertson?
They too are amazing aren’t they !
But I think our two are the heartbeat of our team and from where they have come from and what they contribute I would still stick with B&S

I don't think you can separate the endeavours of our wing-backs with those of our 3 central defenders and last but not least, our Keeper. The way our team works so well together allows other players to excel in ways that in lesser teams they'd struggle to perform to quite so high a standard.....it certainly underpins the quality of training and rehearsal that has brought individuals to the point where they play like a well oiled machine.

Well I've only had the one opportunity of watching these two at the Lane earlier this season.

Not overly impressed. Of course I could go along with the usual media hype but I'll choose not to.

George and Enda every day for me.
Media hype? Against your judgement of seeing them once this season? The OP was about contributing to the teams success not about your preference. I wouldn't swap our full backs for Liverpool's but I'm not so blinkered as to not recognise their importance to their team.

As much as I rate/like Enda & George, I’d happily pull the pair of them in a rickshaw all the way to Anfield in just my pants to swap them for Liverpool’s fullbacks.

Both great players but not sure they've got the defensive side of the game required to play for us. They'd have twice as much defending to do than they're used to! Robertson maybe.

You really wouldn’t take the best two fullbacks in the world? As much as I love the pair we have that would be pretty mental.

As stated, Robertson possibly. AA suspect defensively, he just doesn't get tested regularly. Again, the OP was about contributing to the success of the team. AA contributes through assists via crosses and free kicks. He's not as good a defender as Baldock IMO. Must be mental me.

Aye as a Champions League winner and Premier League winner to be at 21 years old, not tested and not good enough.

Nobody said he wasn't good enough smart arse. Would you swap him for Baldock?

Is this a serious question? Yes, absolutely. That’s no slight on Baldock, who Is looking great and has had a really impressive season, but TAA’s excellent, and is substantially better in terms of delivery into the box.

And defensively?

Never said otherwise, just wouldn't swap him.

Fair enough – I thought your question implied you thought Baldock was a better player defensively, apologies for misreading that and bombarding you with needless statistics.

In terms of not-swapping players, that is a bit of a dangerous path to go down – we will inevitably be upgrading on the current XI this summer, as Wilder wants to constantly improve and as he keeps reminding us “isn’t one for sentiment”.

Can not believe what I’m reading.
As good as Enda and Baldock are TAA and Robertson are on a different planet 🤣🤣🤣

This upsets me. Can't we pickle all our current players in jars so we get to keep them forever? It wouldn't be at all creepy.

No I've misread your statistics. I do think Baldock's a better defender. The statistics relate to two completely different teams stylistically. Eg, one will see more of the ball in an attacking situation than the other, so in that sense the statistics are biased. I was agreeing that his delivery is better than Baldock's. I also take your point that there's no room for sentiment and if improvement can be made long term then players need to be moved on. For clarity I think AA is a good player(see my first post), i just have doubts about him defensively.

Baldock (Stevens too) is fantastic, and he might be better defensively than (or similarly good to) TAA, but TAA is miles ahead of Baldock and every other right-back/wingback in the league in terms of attacking output (well, Doherty's a better goalscorer, but TAA's assist tally speaks for itself, and he's unlucky not to have more). However, TAA aside, is there another player in Baldock's position I'd 100% prefer to him? Probably not

The way we play I don’t think there are any players better suited for the wingback roles than TAA and Robertson.
