Whats so great about playing in Europe ?
If you win it you get a champions league spot if you don't its just a pile up of meaningless games that detract from.your league campaign
Our success has been built around intensity and fitness and we won't be able to cope with two games a week

But I suppose when we are back in the championship.we can brag about those wonderful nights in Kazakhstan like Bolton ,Wigan and even the pigs do
🙄 I bet that thought haunts Wolves fans every day!!🙄

So you would enter into a seventy game season quite happy that you might be jeopardising your 150 million a season income stream ?
It's pure speculation that it would jeopardise PL survival. We are in a sport structure which includes various cups and if the aim is not to enter the competitions that are part of that structure then the club should bow out completely and do something else.

Actually, what's likely to happen, is that the new owners will invest heavily in the club, that's the playing side, the ground, the training facilities, because we're at a point where all good things seem to have merged upon the club. And we will be taking the club forward to a new era, the likes of which no Blade, alive or dead, will have ever witnessed before. An era where the club is being properly run and competing at the top levels of football for years to come - and winning trophies. That's what is happening down at S2. But many Blades fans won't believe that (until it's happened - and then they'll be telling you that we won't be able to repeat it again - or that they liked it better when we were in the Championship). And Owls fans will be looking on in envy, but convincing themselves that they are still superior to us in some way - if only in terms of matchday catering facilities.
👍Very insightful post. Created interesting replies, as well.

Even.if it doesn't affect our league performance next season isn't it a bit tinpot to get excited about being in such a lame comprtition that no one cares about just inncase we get a game against ac Milan or ajax ?

A competition that you think is lame, that you don't care about, because you think people are only bothered about playing Milan or Ajax?
No, it isn't.

See where they are when mendes starts cashing in on his assets
They are CURRENTLY achieving more than we are. And if and when they stop achieving more than us, they will still have achieved more than us at this time in their history, giving their fans who are CURRENTLY supporting them some great memories and some pride.

Does anyone watch it ? Genuinely ,I didn't even watch the final last season with two English teams

Apologise if I'm wrong I assumed every one felt the same

I don't watch the Champions League, because we aren't in it and I don't care about it. Let's avoid qualifying for that one too, eh?

Why ? That's a prestigious and financially lucrative competition watched by millions around the world

I watched Celtic v FC Copenhagen on Thursday night!

It may come as a shock to you, but you are not the only person in the universe who's opinion matters. The Europa cup is both financially beneficial and prestigious, people watch it and it matters to the fans of the clubs who qualify. Sneering at Wolves as they play in Europe when we haven't ever qualified is very Wednesday-esque.

They've spent hundreds of millions to play espanyol
Fucking brilliant !

Because teams like Wigan Bolton and even the grunters got to play spora Luxembourg with out having to spend the kind of money that should actually win a trophy
You're saying they've spent hundreds of millions only on playing in Europe this season? Do they have a completely different squad for Europe than the PL?
