I can see us picking up a minimum of 24 points from these final 12 games which will be enough to finish in top six possibly top 4 depending on how the team around us get on. As good as we've been the teams around us have been really poor. This season is probably as bad as it gets for the likes of Arsenal, Man United, Spurs, Chelsea and even Man City.

Minimum of 24 points, now there are optimists, but a minimum of 24? Mmm

Brighton fan here. You'll steamroll us this Saturday and I can't see us putting up much of a fight. I've really enjoyed watching Sheffield football this season compared Norwich and Villa's dross football. Good luck for European football lads.
I've also enjoyed following Sheffield football this year

Sheffield United have played some great stuff

Sheffield Wednesday have gone out of their way it seems to make it even better

I have to say qualifying for Europe would be massive when, you consider where we were 4 years ago but still we don';t get credit. Just been reading Tony Cascarino he makes Crooks look like Einstein, he says we've overachieved for last 3 years as has CW and we'll finish nowhere near 5th and go down next season.

Not bad for a bloke who's nickname when playing was "Ice-cream Man" sums the wanker up perfectly it just sticks in their throats to praise us same as that fat cunt Steve Nicol used to be at Liverpool, if they're going to get pundits don't employ ones that talk out of their fucking arses.

Are you sure it was Cascarino? If it was then I imagine Wilder has told him to play us down as he's a mate of his

Was trying to be fair but think I was biased towards us!!

I think we'll get 20-22 points from remaining fixtures. Didn't predict all other results.

Wins against
Brighton, villa, Norwich, Newcastle, Everton.

Draws against Burnley, wolves, spurs, Chelsea.

Defeats at Man Utd and Leicester.

Then draw or win at Southampton
Those are very possible results and I would very happy with them although for personal reasons would love to beat Man U at OT !

Something like this I think

1. Liverpool pts 112
2. Man City pts 78
3. Leicester pts 75
4. Spurs pts 67
5. Sheffield United pts 63
6. Chelsea pts 61
7. Man United pts 59
8. Everton pts 58
9. Wolves pts 56
10. Arsenal pts 49
11. Burnley pts 47
12. Southampton pts 47
13. Newcastle pts 46
14. Palace pts 45
15 Brighton 43 pts
16 Watford 40 pts
17. Aston Villa 39 pts
18. Bournemouth 36 pts
19 West Ham 32 pts
20. Norwich 27 pts.

I normally don't like to see players get injured but given our unlikely assault on the Champions League is emerging I'm prepared to be an absolute Schyster for the rest of the season!

With that in mind, I see Son is now facing a decent lay off for Spurs and joins Kane on he sidelines for a number of weeks/months.

Rashford is some way away for Man U too.

Any other dents in the teams of others we can rejoice in?

😁

Yes Roy I know he is but sadly yes it is he that has said it, let them keep knocking us we'll just carry on proving them wrong

I think Liverpool will implode and throw it away lol, no they are setting records that will be very hard to beat they are some team and can't deny it.

I'm clearly in the pessimist camp here (or realist camp perhaps?).
EVERY game we play in this division is a MASSIVE ask no matter who we are playing.
Almost every opposing team will have 2,3,4 or 5 quality players (at least) who can potentially turn a game on it's head in an instance.
We have performed magnificently this season (for the most part over performed really) and to have collected the points we have so far is an unbelievable achievement.
Taking away those teams we to play that are scrapping and fighting for their Premier League survival (which will obviously be a big task and a battle anyway), we still have games against the likes of Leicester, Chelsea, Spurs, Man Utd, Wolves and Everton to contend with too.
Like I say, I'm clearly a pessimist (I was sure we'd lose and fuck it all up away at Leicester 89/90) so believe, looking at the games left, we'll probably manage to get somewhere around 50-55 points which would be still be a fantastic points total.

Kante could also be injured by the looks of it too. And I see Frank and Jody starting to cop it a bit from the fans.

I'm the ultimate pessimist, and have just gone with my gut on a lot of the results. Spurs losing Son today really affect my thoughts on them though

With you on this for the very same reason.

With this winter break dragging on i came across this results predictor and thought i would give it a go and see how are European aspirations held up to my head model!

After 37 games i had the table looking like this in what would make a very squeaky bum final day!

For what it’s worth i had us down for the following:

Wins - Brighton, Newcastle, Villa, Spurs, Chelsea,

Draws - Norwich, Everton

Losses - Man U, Wolves, Leicester

This will probably be a million miles away if my weekly accas are anything to go by but it passed on half hour and i thought it would be nice to share and see what others got!

UTB
Bump.
