Biggest factor is who the other potential 4th place teams play. It gets mentioned in that video that Chelsea need to play Manchester. They can't both win. Extrapolate that reasoning to all the teams around us and the result is, who knows...

We've got 3 or 4 'winnable' games in the next few fixtures, Chelseas next few aren't as kind. If we win 3 of the next 4 (a big ask IMO) and Chelsea drop points, then with 8 to go, we'll be in 4th. From there, it'll be nip and tuck for everyone bar Liverpool and ManCity. Again, who knows...

its interesting how they say that some players wouldnt suit us because they dont work hard /put the effort in ! - which sadly is the way the game has gone but is such a ridicules statement that these young lads who get paid more in one week than most of us do in a year cant at the very least put in the effort and desire to compete for 90mins once a week !

Some players just don’t have the physical capability of our players. They can train as much as they’re able but they still won’t match some of our players, in the same way that other runners train just as hard as Bolt but they still can’t catch him.

When I've heard Merse comment he's been complimentary. He also, when he says he doesn't see us lasting the pace, at least gives a decent reason as to why (players running out of steam because he doesn't rotate etc...and the work we do put in each game off and on the ball).

Merson keeps on saying we have to play at 100% of our limits every game to get a result. That is patently rubbish as there have been so many games this season where we've been nowhere near our best.

I think the only time I've really seen us and thought 'this is as well as we can play' was for about 60 minutes against Man Utd.

I don't think Leicester are secure in third, just had a look and there are 6 games they could well lose and nobody would be surprised (Wolves, Man City are the next 2 games) add to that United will compete in all the games we have left. I'm not saying where we will end up it could still feasibly be 9th (without being too pessimistic) but you never know.

Chelsea are flaky. They also have fixtures against Man City at home and, notably, Liverpool away yet to play. The Liverpool game is the Champions-elect’s final home game of the season; I suspect that Chelsea will not be getting anything from that other than a good hiding.

Spurs and Wolves look to be the stronger contenders. Moreover, like us, Spurs and Wolves have both got the 4 fixtures against Man City and Liverpool, out of the way.

There is certainly plenty of scope for twists and turns, though, given that Spurs, Chelsea and Wolves all have to come to the Lane as well as each of them still having to play each of the others.

Part of the reason that I think we will get 4th is that we aren’t always at our best but we are so much fitter, stronger and more hard working than any other team that we still have to play.

5 Live commentators were saying on Saturday how tired Bournemouth looked after 70 mins. This season we’ve played fewer games but all at a higher intensity.

We’re surprisingly good at closing games out and finding that extra energy to finish teams off.

I think this season the Man game was the one game I’d say we really stepped it up another gear and blew them apart... until we switched off and they blew us apart.. but we still came back to salvage it.
