Well that was a load of tripe, if we pick up 30 more points we will be in the champions league, the reporter must be a very optimistic blade with those results

There's no point watching any more games this season now they've told us what's going to happen! What a spoiler!

Sheffield United have, on the sly, pulled together one of the most impressive Premier League seasons from a newly promoted side in recent memory.

They are sixth and slowly closing in on the top four. And they have a run of five upcoming games that could all be easily won. As a result, we've tipped them to beat Bournemouth, Brighton, Aston Villa, Norwich and Newcastle, which would see them get into the top four in the middle of next month.

They will then draw with Manchester United before beating Spurs. However, a shock loss at Burnley will see them dip off before a 2-2 draw with Wolves.

The Blades will overpower Lampard's Chelsea at home before going to the King Power Stadium and losing 2-1.

Ancelotti and Everton will then come to town with the pressure growing on Wilder and his boys, and they will nick a point.

Southampton will then host them and lose 2-0, but despite picking up the same points total as Spurs they will finish a place behind them.

I don't know why the call us "sly" though? Weren't we supposed to do this or something? 🤔

Of course not.

Sheffield Weds ... sorry, United were supposed to be relegated by now on three points, all of them boring goalless home draws against teams people don't care much about

pommpey

I want 4th or nothing, do we really need Europa distractions when trying to negotiate the difficult second season, and with the possibility we may lose one or two of our top performers to richer clubs, not wishing to put a downer on it

Sly is better than Sty

There’s more chance of keeping our players if we qualify for the Europa league. I really don’t think it’s anything to be afraid of. Not with Wilder anyway.

Difficult second season. Losing players.
Careful Stevo folk have been accused of being pigs for less than this. 😄 😄😄😄

4 wins, 6 draws and 3 defeats is my prophecy. 54 points and thank you very much.tenor (1).gif

Another way of looking at it how unbelievable it is that here we are, in mid Feb being talked about in a national paper paper about the possibility of finishing in the top four, it's supposed to be taken with a pinch of salt and to get fans across the country chewing the fat about it, as we are, I don't agree with some of the results of course, pick 100 people off here to make predictions of those clubs and every one would be different, I enjoyed reading it and I'm sure a lot of Wednesday fans choked on there bacon sarnies this morning as well, it's all part of the ride we've been on for three and a half years, what's next?

The reporter is Ami Winehouse, so could have some special talent for predicting the future 😂

Predict blades to do well = Moan Moan Moan
Predict blades to do bad = Moan moan Moan

You won't find a more balanced poster than me pal, and I adore this current side, but if we pick up 30 points between now and the end of the season I'll show my arse on the town all steps

Another slight problem, the points prediction for us adds up to 27, not 30.

Ipswich, after qualifying for the UEFA cup.
That was nearly twenty years ago and they made some horrendous mistakes that other clubs learnt from. Finidi George FFS. They recruited like the pigs do.

Football pundits, the national press and some of the best managers in the world are talking about us getting the 4th spot.

The pundits may be dickheads, the journalism may be rubbish and the managers may be saying we will miss out.

But the fact is, they are all saying Sheffield United and 4th place in the Premier league in the same sentence.

At the moment that’s enough for me, lets see how we’re doing at the end of this month when we’ve played Bournemouth and Brighton and Chelsea have played Man U and Spurs.

Some opinions will change then.

I like the idea that we’ll finish the season with four away defeats: the top 3 and Burnley.

You should be careful when making these sorts of promises. We're still awaiting vwblade's YouTube debut after Sander Berge signed....

I'm sure the Daily Mail had about 20 pundits at the beginning of the season predicting the finishing positions of all clubs. We were by far the favourites to finish bottom.

A little bit like Carragher now saying 'as soon as I saw Sheffield United this season I knew they'd stay up'.

All these experts getting in quick now to cover up the lazy journalism they displayed at the start of the campaign.

That has us winning 6 and drawing one of the next 7 games. Not going to happen I’m afraid UTB

30 points...............I would be very happy with half that, another 15 & we make 51!
