M

Easiest player to wind up in the PL.

As a former full back the fact he could roast me would be negated by the fact I'd be in his ear from minute 1.

Behaves like a bellend despite his ability and will probably have a career that whilst making enough money will be seen as underachieving.
Exactly. Also I dont rate him at all. What does he give? He's got zero balls for the fight and thinks the game is a non contact sport. A pussy of a player.

We didn't start playing until the 2nd half Berge was ok maybe a little off the pace a couple of times otherwise sound. Controlled the 2nd half but we need to put teams to bed, just about deserved that on the chances we made.
Considering he‘s probably only had one proper training session he did well, he will get on the teams wavelength soon enough. He’s intelligent and has a good footballing brain, he just needs a few games to adjust.

Managed to get last 10 mins of 1st half and all 2nd ... not vintage but good teams find a way to win and once he dropped that clanger we took the gift and managed to see it out utb

Baldock's going to have to be really careful, he might even need taking off

He did brilliantly given that torrid first half. Sensible defending and was much more involved going forward.

Really improved second half and the goal came at a great time for us. Super away day.

Berge showed some signs second half what he’ll bring to us, though I think Lundstram deserves some mention for being excellent off the bench today – his best minutes this year. He knows the position, whereas Berge is learning it.

Good away performance. (at least in the second half)

But FFS we are so wasteful in front of goal. We missed some really good chances to put the game to bed at 1-0. Stevens in particular was pretty wasteful.

Berge played decent on his debut. some nice touches here & there. Wasnt a surprise to see him subbed though with the excitement of the last 3 days or so. must have been a tiring week.

Wilder saw everything was going through Zaha's side.2nd half he moved help over to Baldock before Zaha got him sent off with his diving.Berge was a bit tucked in. Zaha was switched over to Stevens side and we started to take over.

Lundstram was huge for us today. Best he's played since coming back from injury, and maybe before.

Solid in the middle, kept the ball well, kept it simple to maintain possession but still showed some peak Lord Lundstram moments, little quick triangles and the dink over the palace step in to complete a pass.

Worst game that we've played and won? Lunny was fighting for his place though. Berge needs a good few weeks to acclimatise.

Wonder if Lunny is regretting not signing his new contract yet? Wilder is ruthless 😂 UTB
Maybe Wilder needs to get the contract sorted. Excellent when he came on, saw the game out for us. He's been very good for most of this season and his form has dipped so let's write him off. Good, solid player, even if simply for back up.

Definitely Orange!

In my opinion, he endangered an opponent, so a red is hard to take as the contact was negligible, but had it not been, it's a leg breaker.

Thought intent came into it.

Not the same as Bash against Norwich, which was minimal contact and wide of the player. This was dangerous.

I see Benteke hasn't changed since his man of the match performance in the Ryan Flynn cup game at Villa

I’d happily let Sander sit on my face and I’m OK with it, not sure if my Mrs would agree...

I've already posted my thoughts but I'll add to it.
Lunny's first touch is superb and so important today in the conditions, hope he signs that contract, The "Berger" is also going to be a real influence player for us, only his first game but some of his touches and movement (especially) was excellent, CW is taking us to another place - top six, if not this season then next, CW will be going nowhere unless Man' U come calling, mark my words 😊

Just read this from a Palace fan on BBC website

Such a difference between Sheffield utd and Palace. One plays exciting football under an excellent manager making quality signings! And the less we say about Palace right now the better...

Also thought Sharp was unfortunate to come off today. Thought of the two up front he had a better game, and was good in general (brilliant work to win the corner we scored from), though McBurnie got much more into it after Mousset’s introduction. McBurnie seemed to be just overpowered by Cahill today, and I was amazed that we continued to hit a good amount at him in the air – I’m not sure McBurnie won anything. But when Mousset was introduced he had much more to feet and was able to spin and get some useful free-kicks. The McBurnie-Sharp pairing looked much better vs Man City tbh, though I wouldn’t be surprised to see us stick with it for Bournemouth.

To be honest after the highs of that transfer window I expected us to lose today, and was not at all surprised we didn't play well.
There's going to be a lot of jockeying for a place and checking of contracts over these last games plus some very nervouse players ...
