Poor first half, not absolutely honking but just not quite at it, kept giving it away, didn't threaten.

Second half much better, and yeah, spozzy goal in our favour, but our defending and in the second half, attacking, probably edged it in our favour.

Great debut for Sander, calm, got dispossessed a couple of times but he'll get used to the press, I like how he can head it on with real accuracy, like headed throughballs, and Lundstram looked to have got back some of his swagger when he came on so that's good to see.

Thought all our attackers did their jobs today, but no doubt we had a lot better possession when Moose was on, links it up better just because he can get to everything.

Stevens and Baldock were great too, as involved as they've been for a few games, that Baldock "I've been fouled, wait I've still got the ball" mazy run was great, and Stevens was getting more involved.

Defense, rock solid.

Hendo, fantastic.

3 points I'll happily take.

Terrible first half, opened up.after the goal.and we should have added to.it. lunny actually played well as did moose. When they came on.

LOL watch the highlights for the free kick the one where the ref pulls it back and makes them take it again Fleck, Norwood and Sander stood round and Fleck and Norwood look like hobbits !
Yeah thought same and when warming up beginning of second. He isn't just lanky though, solid.

Great win, all of my usual streams were cack so I saw a total of about 10 mins all in but as it sounds like a game to forget I am not too bothered, & very very happeh with 3 points.

Better second half, shite conditions for start to finish. Lundstram steadied the ship, moose provided a bit of flair and palace.....well.......unlucky lads. 🥳

Sander managed 66 mins then, can't really grumble too much. It was a tough debut game and whilst it wasn't a scorcher, it was a good run out in a mediocre overall performance. Let's hope that Lord can keep things tight in the middle of the pitch and aid us in keeping possession a bit better!
Lunny played well when he came on. Was really into the pace of the game from the get go. He’s easy worth 22 mil as well...

It got better for us when Lunny came on, looked like his old self (the quality version).
Baldock was lucky to stay on, we were physical but it is the big boys League and they kept falling over every time we went near to them
MOM for us, probably Hendo' he kept us in it with two quality saves, I thought Flecky wasn't on it today.

Great win! After a poor first half we came out much improved in the 2nd. Berge had a decent debut and Lunny was great when he came on. Dreadful goalkeeper error or not, Palace have been solid this season and picking up all 3 points there is another great achievement! UTB ⚔

Players put everything into it, the effort was 100%. We are still struggling to play through midfield, but we toughed it out and actually played it a bit in the second half. Palace arent an easy team to play well against. Sander looked composed and tidy, and he'll get upto the intensity of the premier league in time in sure.

Just a great win tbh. And nice to see Lunny back with a full energy meter !!

Poor first half compounded by poor ball retention

Wilder pep talk

Back to the usual much better second half. Possession far better. Created a couple chances/half chances. Looked much more assured.

Well done Europe contenders

They moved Zaha over to Stevens side that surprised me.
Wilder moved help over to Baldock. Berge must have been tucking in more.

That’s twice we’ve sh*t-housed Zaha out of the game.
I feel a little bit sorry for him as he’s a wonderful player trying to work with a donkey like Benteke.
And at the end Woy had his familiar thousand yard watery defeatist stare that was so familiar from his England days.

M
Zaha is a fuking prick, get him done for simulation, 2nd time now

Easiest player to wind up in the PL.

As a former full back the fact he could roast me would be negated by the fact I'd be in his ear from minute 1.

Behaves like a bellend despite his ability and will probably have a career that whilst making enough money will be seen as underachieving.

Against a better team we would have been put to the sword today. Woeful first half performance and I don't agree with some of the views that it was a great 2nd half, last 10 minutes we looked more comfortable at the most. However thankfully Palace never really threatened us albeit for that one great save from Hendo.

I like the look of Berge, hes going to he have to get used to not having as much time on the ball but to come straight into the squad like that I thought he did well.

We didn't deserve all three points but I'll happily take them

What a season, 4 away from 40!

UTB

Poor first half. Not really at the races. Surprised he didn't start Besic given the Zaha threat. Even more surprised he just threw Berg straight in.

Better second half. We looked more assured when Lunny came on and Baldock looked much calmer. Mousse offered much more of a threat than Billy.

Still looked a bit last gasp far too often for my heart though. When Palace came forward they were getting through our midfield a bit too easily at times.

Thought Stevens and Egan were our best players.

Has Roy Hodgson sorted our nonsense out yet?

I might feel for him a bit if he wasnt such an absolute Gene Hunt

We didn't start playing until the 2nd half Berge was ok maybe a little off the pace a couple of times otherwise sound. Controlled the 2nd half but we need to put teams to bed, just about deserved that on the chances we made.
