Looking at the quotes from the SUFC website below I think there's a definite possibility that we'e looking at the possible longer term with Retsos. Why say initial loan and us to have a look at him? It might not be as cut and dry as it is for Zivkovic but I can't see why we'd get just get him on loan because realistically, unless we have injuries and suspensions I would imagine the defence will stay the same, he's not likely to come into the team until maybe near the end of the season to have a closer look. In which case, I would imagine that its with a view to a possible permanent deal. Its possibly similar to how we view the Callum Robinson deal. Although we're not saying with the Robinson deal that its a possible permanent deal, I would take a wild guess that if he does well and we stay up and West Brom wan him for next season then there's a good chance he'll be back there next season as their player, providing that West Brom match our value. Because, realistically, Robinson is still going to be 4th choice next season due to McBurnie, the Moose, and probably a new forward, maybe Zivkovic.
on an initial deal until the end of the season.
"He's an international who has played at the top level and cost a lot of money when moving across Europe. Now he wants to prove himself in the Premier League and this initial loan spells is a perfect opportunity for Panos to have a look at us and us to have a good look at him."
