Going by what I learned in Sunday school, Jesus is the son of God.

Wish he's have let a couple through his legs, we may have had have chance of signing him then. After tonight OGS must be on crack not to instate him as MU keeper next season.
 
Just watched the replay of the penalty save. Amazed it didn't get retaken, deano moved both feet a yard off his line. We definitely got away with one there. Still, fuck var
 
Saved us from a 3 nil defeat tonight. Great performance
 
A seat on the Kop behind the goal v City was worth the admission money for Deano's first-half saves. I have said before how much I enjoy seeing great saves from behind the goal, and his save from Sterling was one of those brilliant moments - from 'Oh no!' to 'How did he save that?' in a fraction of a second. Not good for the heart, but good for the spirits.
I think he is a perfectionist (but not perfect, of course), so I wonder how he and the coaching staff have analysed the last 2 goals he has let in, because on watching them since, I wonder whether different split-second decisions might have given him a better chance (this is not a criticism of him at all). At Arsenal, the ball looped up and was in the air some time; if he had gone for it immediately, would he have got a hand to the ball first? For Aguero's goal, if he had dived towards the ball hands first, instead of going with his feet (often quite rightly the modern keeper's option), I think he might have cut the cross out. There were big problems in each case - at Arsenal the ball deflected and the forward came in quickly, v City Egan tried to intercept, and Aguero moved in at speed. With so many factors to take into account and only a split-second to decide, I am interested to know whether goalkeeping coaches would agree that he would have had a better chance with a different decision, and if so, how can they prepare for such things in training? There are so many variables in such situations, that it would be impossible to recreate them.
I really hope he is back with us next season - he is great to watch, and a terrific prospect.

That's what separates a World class keeper from a Great keeper. UTB
 
Paul Cooper of Ipswich saved 8 out of 10 in the 79/80 season. Remember he leaned to one side and flapped his arms around....crazy but clearly worked !

VAR doesn’t check keepers off the line. Lino does
Jesus stutters on run up and laws allow keeper to make a step of pen taker does that.
Hendo collects from his own save so no encroachment in play.
Hendo was fucking ace.

Have you just made that up? So a keeper can do what he wants, just as long as the taker stutters his run up? And then if he collects his save, it’s ok??

I have just read the laws on the FA website, and I think (it is complicated for late Friday evening) the sanction is an indirect free-kick if the penalty taker stutters at the end of his run-up. So the decision was wrong, but it may have been a broadly correct outcome (goalie clearance rather than free-kick). Hope that makes sense.
 
A couple of great saves today,to be fair I think Palace deserved a draw but he got us the win....UTB
 
He was very good again today. One save in particular, a sort of snap shot through a number of bodies, destined for the far corner, two Palace players waiting for the rebound, Henderson managed to first) save it & second) push it out so far wide.

He's much better at coming for crosses now too. He looks so confident.

The kicking needs work, but I dare say he's probably England's number 1 now.

So glad Man Utd gave DDG that huge contract mid-season or we'd have no chance of retaining him.
 
Just heard a ManU fan on Radio5 saying they should get Henderson back to replace De Gea, he is best keeper in England at the moment, etc. I was nodding in agreement and warming to the guy until he said he was obviously the best because he is achieving all this playing behind second-rate defenders... I nearly threw the radio through the window...
 
IF we beat man Utd to a European place then I doubt they would let us sign him again.

They would be having a clear out and DeGea would almost certainly demand a transfer

They would also then consider us rivals in the EPL.

So unless we paid big money to get him I doubt he would be with us next year. Unless he asked for the transfer of course.
