Who knows!?

Soz, just found the other thread on Fleck, so if Foxy or Linz want to delete this one, or merge, up to you guys.

If I go on Twitter and say I'd like us to sign Kevin De Bruyne do you fancy starting an 'incoming' thread on here?

I think a lot of rumours this year will come from those with a hard on for fantasy football.

Most will be pretty baseless and as others have said, unless a tip 6 club comes knocking for any of our lot or offer mega wages I can’t see us losing anyone. Not to mention most people still seem to think we are a team of Championship players working hard together which probably wouldn’t make them an exciting proposition for many teams.

Never been more confident of not losing anyone.

It must be tempting for Fleck to consider leaving us, especially for a club teetering on the brink of relegation......there's the money of course, but if relegation happens then presumably the club he signs for would trigger a clause that reduces the Prem wages to something that reflects what it means to be a Championship player?

Could Villa be about to come calling for our John, seeing as Villa have lost the services of their John with a fractured ankle for (3or4 months).

No source just my over active cerebrum.
Do I put rapping paper with glitter in it in the recycling or general waste bin?

Representatives from Arsenal at last nights game, apparently have put in an offer of 25 million for Flecky.

£50 million and theyre on. I believe Fleck would require £50k per week.

It's an interesting dilemma to find ourselves in. It will arguably cost us significantly more to achieve a lesser league position next season. Basing that on new contracts, some first teamers leaving (I do hope not), bringing in players who take some time to adapt to the system and the opposition likely adapting a bit more to us.

Completely agree and something I hope most fans understand and appreciate.

In the post-match interview last night, CW did say that no one is leaving. He stressed that, so I assume Fleck is going nowhere?

If they offered us £50m and Fleck £150k a week then I’d suspect he might go. But I think they’ve probably all had a chat about the window and committed themselves to the club for the rest of the season.
It’s likely that we could lose some in the summer but we should be able to deal with that.

Fleck Is our joint top scorer and been worth his weight in gold he is a key player for me.

In today's market I would not take a penny less than 50m.

We’re gonna have to accept that some of our stand out players could end up moving on. My main concern is the valuations of these players and what it will cost to replace/upgrade them. Doesn’t 20mil seem cheap in today’s market for fleck given his current form and undoubted quality? Is it because it’s Sheff Utd and not Man Utd the offers we receive seem lower? I doubt we could replace him with an instant impact player without spending more or we spend less on someone who has potential and have to bring them up to speed.
Maybe it’s just me but do you think flecks value would be more than 20mil if he was say playing for spurs or arsenal not us?

Regardless of what we (suppoters) of the club think he's worth it's down to what the club feel is right and if it's a low valuation by the purchasing club it should be rejected end of. Hopefully we should be able to buck the trend that is SUFC and tell these other clubs to Fleck off unless its an offer they feel they can't refuse. UTB :)

Yes, the relatively low price quoted is because its SUFC and not a sexy PL established club.

Why do you think players from West Ham, Everton and Spurs constantly get picked for the England squads whereas none from United or Burnley etc.

It pretentious nonsense. All our players are for sale at the right price, as is any player in the world. Now we are doing well in the PL there is now no excuse not to charge top dollar though if another club wants one of our star assets. You want him....fine, then let's see some serious money coming our way...or don't waste our time, should be our starting line.
