You're wrongYou are wrong tho.
Watch the blades player. He got the ball.
You're wrong
it’s was the Sterling sub that annoyed me, he clearly tells Sterling to go off behind the goal. Board goes up and Sterling ignores him and slowly walks off to the middle of the pitch and the ref just stands there watching
Tbh I was putting it together in my head on the way back to the car. Although a simple ‘Lee Mason is a bald twat’ would have sufficed.
I get the feeling your holding something back. Go on, spit it outTo say I’m fuming with him is an understatement, and what’s more astounding is the amount of Blades on this very thread sticking up for the twat, he was blatantly biased and a full weight cunt.
He couldn’t wait to blow for full time after our free kick at the end before it had even fully played out, I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it tonight but he was a right cunt.![]()
He watched him leave the pitch with the look of a proud mother as she watches her child go through the gates on their first day at school.
The bald fucking twat.
He won the ball otherwise it wouldn't have ended up at the keeprs feet. Yellow card wrong.
Why does the ref have to blow at corners? If a team scores & there has been a foul on the keeper VAR will spot it = goal cancelled.he was crap. Giving fouls for nothing. Blowing every time a player came anywhere the keeper.
Worst by far this season.
I concur. I can’t recall any generous decisions our way, whereas I can think of several for City. And the body-check on Baldock near the South Stand/Kop corner was ridiculous to not give. It does nothing to discourage diving when that sort of blatant foul isn’t picked up on.
I'm all for giving the ref a load of shit at the match, put pressure on him, and as others have said, he did seem to favour them on the marginal decisions, from my view on the kop.
Even from there, I feared besic was going to get a straight red card for that challenge, where he got a yellow.
Tricky job though, being a ref.
A bias ref gives a free kick for the McBurnie pass that Henderson picks up, or gives a retake for the pen when Henderson was a yard off his line, or sends Besic off for the challenge on Laporte, or doesn't book Aguero for timewasting. The foul on Aguero by JOC where he stopped for the foul should have been a yellow, and a possible (but very harsh) red. It was right in front of us and he scraped his studs down the back of his ankle/Achilles which is why he was so pissed off.
Few decisions didn't go our way but there wasn't really a blatant game changing one.
I'm a referee and can honestly say you see the game in a different light when you've reffed games yourself, as much as I want to hate Mason I know he didn't get that much wrong last night, sometimes the 50/50 decisions go your way, sometimes they don't.
That. I’ve been trying to put my finger on it but you’ve nailed it.He’s a weird case. He didn’t get any big decisions wrong, but the guy’s got no natural authority or respect from the players. They’re always pinching a few yards on free kicks and throw-ins and chatting back. Instead of having a word and nipping it in the bud, he starts flashing cards.
Rather than calming the game down, he tends to ratchet up the tension. Very irritating refereeing style for fans and players...and he can’t spot an advantage to save his life
