Really does deserve a thread ,the best stewards and stewarding I have ever experienced at a game. Very helpful ,friendly ,courteous and efficient. Made the cops job very easy because we had respect for them as they gave it to us. Especially the ones who formed the barrier between Arsenal and Blades fans ,loads of banter flying but because of their attitude it made it fun. A lot of clubs could learn from this ,Arsenal should be made aware of it too.

Outside the ground there was a big black steward who we had a quick chat to and it turned out he had lived in Sheffield (Kelvin Flats) when he was younger.

On the way back to Arsenal tube he was on a little platform with a megaphone so we 'outed' him to the Arsenal crowd, as being from Sheffield. He came back with loads of banter over the megaphone and had the whole street laughing. Lovely bloke and a credit to Arsenal.

The only time I went to the Emirates in 2006 we got covered in spit from the Arsenal fans in the tier above.

The stewards then just didn’t want to know about it.

They were extremely over the top about anyone standing in the aisles.

And plenty were trying to, largely due to the hideous placement and poor visibility of the row and seat numbers.

Funny enough ,the only black mark of the day was a prick who had been gobbing off all the match spitting at us and running out about 10 mins from the end. The stewards asked us if we wanted to take it further and confirmed his seat number had been taken and he would be reported.

Sorry Sitwell, I thought they were shite. I went for a piss about 10 minutes before half time and had to push through crowds standing in the aisles, when I mentioned the safety problems this could cause he shrugged his shoulders and said they wont listen, I cant do anything about it.
Next thing, a right nasty female steward marched over and had a right go at me and then grabbed hold of my arm and threatened to eject me from the ground if I didnt shut up. She said I was in her face, bearing in mind she'd stuck her nose into my conversation on the first place. She wouldnt listen to anything I said so I just walked off.
I just thought they were a waste of time, a bit like those near us at The Lane, spend all match getting in everyones way standing in the stairwell.

You shouldnt go for a piss every 5 minutes ;) Now I know why you have an aisle seat. Hows Eppy btw ?

It’s an age thing and that’s why I keep my aisle seat 🙂. Heppy has now got flu so not very well. Still in NGH and waiting for an MRI scan, saw him in the week and he’s full of wires and tubes. They’ve stopped and restarted his heart a couple of times so he’s in the best place.
The doctor said he’d never actually seen a black heart before, only heard about them. 🤣

Thought they were good. Dealt with the two scrapping blades at the back of our block well, seemed to take them off to cool down and then brought them back in, which was decent of them. The aisles issue i think is a hard one to sort, people dont care and dont listen and wont move, so its a hard one to sort without getting physical which just causes more avoidable issues

These two were alright. They seemed to enjoy listening to our songs repertoire.

Give him my best if you see him before tomorrow night.

A great fellow. had I chat with him regarding some help I needed on getting into the away end and he was very helpful indeed. I asked who he would be supporting and he laughed out loud, saying he could not possibly be swayed one way or another. Great lad and a credit to the profession

I would agree. I was also near that nob. I didn't get involved in the arguing, but if he had come in striking distance, I would have punched him right in the kisser, as I was trying to watch the game. total nob!!
