As hard as it is, no rumours is in the club best interest, so i'm good with that. That being said, I also wouldn't be surprised if the club decided to stay low this transfer window so that's the reason there are no rumours. And I would be okay with that too.

Yes, our squad got some holes, but during the january window you A Almost Always overpay B Less players available C Player needs to adapt, which especially with our tactics isn't that easy. We should ball out place 8-14 relative easily, if not playing for spot number 6-7. So let's use this time to evaluate everything and get everything we needs this summer.

They’d be insane to sell now. We’d be better off waiting for them to lose in the playoffs. They’ll have got some extra bills to pay on the stadium by then (always happens) so they’ll be motivated sellers.

It is interesting that there are no strong rumours this time. I think we all expected Rodwell, but who else? Cant see us just signing a couple of “fillers” for the sake of it; Wilder himself says any newbies will have to be somebody to improve what we have. But that will be expensive.

My prediction: a Norwood type scenario whereby we sell someone unexpectedly, and replace them with someone quality who we didn't even think of.

Total example: Maybe Lundstrams contract talks aren't going as planned and CW decides to cash in while his stock is high and fees are inflated. Use the money to sign Besic on a perm and spring a surprise with the newly available loan slot- plenty of good players will want to be playing regular with the Euros coming up in the summer.

Not saying thats what I’d do or even what I’d want to see, but I mean that type of scenario where differing circumstances come into play.

yeah fair it is probably optimistic, but look at the flip side, he has performed well this year in epl and he is youngish and english, i reckon he will have caught some eyes, wouldnt surprise me if we got a nice wedge for him, its the jan market after all
