Rob Nugent has a 100% scoring record for his country in terms of games and goals; better than Shearer, Lineker, Greaves.
Of course, he’s not... :)

If you're sticking to the point, though, would you say that Nugent's international record 'speaks for itself' that he isn't good enough?

That's an example of erroneous data. It's Obviously useless and you're just being difficult.

Well I’ve read the full thread looking for deep meaningful reasons why the question was being asked, but I’ve still no idea why the OP asked it. It’ll only be an issue if Norwood gets another booking before the end of the month or if he’s injured.

By the way I agree that Egan is probably 4th in line for the armband right now but my guess is he will be captain of the club one day.

I would say it was pretty conclusive, especially given the circumstances of that ‘goal’ he scored.

How many did all the other England players score in those same eleven minutes? I think we have different definitions of ‘conclusive’ and ‘evidence’.

I am not trying to argue that Nugent (or Sharp) is definitely good enough. I’m just saying that lack of observations doesn’t provide evidence for saying someone definitely isn’t good enough. If that was the case, every single one of our players would have been written off at the start of the season, and we know how that turned out.

Imagine looking down your nose at “bladeyness” and not realising Chris Wilder would not even be at the club if he wasn't a blade.

Bladeyness is why we are in the Premier league. Must hurt one particular poster.
There’s Bladeyness in us all, that’s why we are all here in the first places, some pretend they don’t have it,just give them a hug they’ll be alright.

It’s an entirely accurate appraisal of where we are now isn’t it? I know Billy is more important than our club to some. I take a different view. I’m Blade, not Bladey.

His career record doesn’t lie. It tells the story. A fantastic goal scorer at a level just below the top league. As I say, nothing to be ashamed of, far from it. He should go with our love and thanks to finish his career notching more goals, not sitting on our bench. Is that controversial?

Basham interview had Billy as the most important influence behind the scenes so getting shut might just be like shooting our selves in the foot.
