Who’s Coming Up Next Season

But listening to the Robbie Savage
Comments listed below
And previous threads from The view from the excellent Roy (Andrew) suggesting that we are nailed on to go down in our second season
All this got me thinking about next season
Agreed of course that this season isn’t over yet and as blades we certainly shouldn’t count our chickens
But if we do find ourselves still in the Premier League next season
What about the teams coming up?
As we have found ourselves this season
From pundits that have some sense of the overall perspective
And plopcarpets Like Garth crooks
Newly promoted teams appear to be nailed on for immediate exit
Well Weeds Find them selves in a position
Where it is a two horse race
At least currently
Whenever there are three sides in contention in the championship
They have bottled it big time
Both our promotion last season and indeed in 2006
Fortunately for them this season it looks like there are only two sides gunning for automatic promotion
But indeed you have in the play-offs
The potential that The pigs might get up also
Long way to go with the play-offs
But, at least from my point of view, the top two may well be already sorted
In essence, if in our second season we end up being below the dirties, West Brom and someone like the pigs,
Then I will certainly bear my arse in front of the town hall in Sheffield
I don’t see it
My view is that this current season might mean that there is and higher than average points required for survival, which we will get
Next season there will be at least two teams who end up with less than 20 points
Therefore In my humble view we are nailed on to be in the Premier League at least for three seasons
As I said, tin hat on, fully expecting the debris

I think your getting well ahead with this. You never know how they will do when coming up. You would have expected the likes of Villa and Fulham to do better ( not just because of money). I could see Leeds doing well, West brom have a history of bouncing between the leagues. So much guesswork I don't think you could reasonably come to any conclusion. Our squad should be better, then again not many have made it in this year.
 
If Leeds go up this season then I'll be buying shares in Kleenex, as the BBC, Sky, Garth Crooks etc will all be jizzing their pants that super club, gargantuan Leeds United are back "where they belong."

Leeds could sell their entire first eleven in the summer and replace them with geriatric dwarves, and they'll still say they won't be in a relegation fight. Why? Because they're Leeds, that's why!
 
I think if Leeds go up they will quickly reestablish themselves at this level. West Brom a yo-yo club and play off team will be relegation candidates.
 



Never ever underestimate Leeds' capacity to implode, whilst they do appear to be a bit 'tougher' this season, the capitulation against Cardiff at the weekend could be a sign that the frailty is still there. Will that be their equivalent of our 'Villa moment'? Maybe.

West Brom look very strong, can't see past them getting one of the top 2 either.

Fulham are so powerful up front, but seem to have a soft underbelly and are on awful run. I still think they will push top 2 though and if anyone can capitalise on a Leeds meltdown though it could be them.


Beyond that, who knows. Several teams seem to win a few then go on a bad run, win a few, go on a bad run.....repeat. The Pigs are in that group and have a decent chance of top 6, well they would have if their owner wasn't an arrogant halfwit who is not only in denial, but has also just declared war on the competition's governing body.

Leeds and West Brom for promotion
plus one other which could be anybody.....got a feeling it will be a real underdog like a Millwall. Preston or QPR.

Don't let folks upset you with their comments. I read your erstwhile offering, several times over. And then, read it some more. And what I would say is that no one could ever accuse you of being short-sighted and living for the here and now. I would like to thank you for getting us to think outside of the box, and donate a song to you.
 
When a club gets smoke continuously blown up their collective arses. They do start to believe their own publicity.....and ultimately fail...eg Aston Villa.
 
Well I started reading the OP, but, my attention was quickly drawn to Shane the Chef on channel 5, my daughter is a fan of his, and I've never seen it before, I wonder who he supports??
