Anyone banned for Thursdays game?

Fleck, Lundstram and Baldock all now on four yellows.
One more for any of them before Boxing Day and it’s a one game ban.
We’ll cope.

We are going to have to be careful. That was the most cynical performance I have seen from us. Fleck was clearly warned for pulling back 5 mins before he did it again and got a deserved yellow. If we continue in this way, we will be in big trouble with suspensions.
Baldock was so lucky.

Before Boxing Day? So can we have everyone get booked against Watford and punt the City game or not?

Why change? Much rarther see the lads getting stuck in and going hell for leather to win every ball than say, playing like the lazy trumped up "superstars" of say Arsenal.

We had got stuck in previously without the stupid tugs and cynical fouls. We do not have the squad depth to cope with the suspensions that 5 yellows a game will bring.

Got to say that we did play well though. We are routinely creating chances now which we were not in the first 7 -8 games.

Yellow cards were ridiculous today - Baldock s first was identical to one on Mousset in first few minutes. Flecks pull was the same as the pull on him a few minutes later. Baldocks ‘second’ was the worst foul of the match!
Doherty is offside in that first phase for goal - further than Lundstrams toe nail!
Ref blows for offside then VAR checks for a penalty from play after his whistle!
No consistency!
P.S. Fleck has 5 but one was in the cup- so doesn’t carry to the league.

I'm sure Besic, Osbourne, both Freemans and Jags are more than ready to step in

Fortunately we don't have to play Wolves every week.

They were very very good on the front foot although a bit dodgy at the back.

THB I really want Besic, Osbourne, and Freeman to be given a chance the Later two their past club fans cant believe they
are not getting games .

The PL site is saying Baldock, Fleck and Lunny are all on 4 bookings but it doesn't say if it’s been updated after today’s games. It’d be a massive loss losing both midfielders for the next 2 games so hopefully it’s up to date. Any player who can get to the end of the month under 5 bookings will have them reset to zero again. 🙏🤞

It’s 4 bookings. Lundstram moved onto 4 last game, the others today.

My fear is that we get all 3 missing the same game. Would be a nightmare. We can afford 1 player dropping out and someone coming in, more than that and I think we’d struggle to maintain performance levels.

Norwood had a ban hanging over him for a few games during a crunch period last season. He played every game and didn't get booked again until the ban period had expired. Wilder trusted him and he came good, can these 3 be trusted in the same way? Of all of them Baldock is the most likely to get booked again, and we don't really have a comparable replacement at the moment, unless Bash can step into the role.

Perhaps a bit of rotation wouldn't do any harm under the circumstances, and with only 4 days to the next match, maybe this is a sensible time to do it. Lundstram looked knackered today after 60 minutes, so may be rest him on Thursday, then if Fleck or Baldock do pick up a ban at least we have him coming straight back in.

Don’t think it’s Wilders style though. I think they’ll play until they can’t.
