Well I voted Coutts but was torn between him and Egan. Looked at the votes cast so far and.....wow! Not one for Egan. I am amazed at that even though I didn’t vote for him.

Voted JOC. That first game at Stocksbridge when he walked out I said to my old man that he would be a player. He looked a proper unit. Glad I was proved right for a change. £30m defender now.

Depends what you mean by best.

Imo the best is JOC as I think he played at the highest standard for basically the entire time here and that’s a 30m plus pl defender imo.

Though for me the best player this season has been Stevens (maybe Egan) as I think they both look like they have played at this level for years.

I voted for Duffy though as he’s been my favorite player to watch of all my years following United.

So many to choose from but for the entire period it has to be between JOC or Fleck for being there since the beginning. Same can be said for Bash.

You're probably right that JOC has been the 'best', especially if you're looking across all of the last 3 years.

I voted for Sharp though, I think he's been the most influential and I don't think we'd be a Premier League team now without him.

Incredibly tough to pick one. Had to go with JOC just because I've not seen a centre-back be so comfortable at getting forward while also being rock-solid in defence - he's also the one with the highest ceiling (and I don't mean his house).

Best footballer would have been Duffy. Don't think we get promoted without Norwood (remember how hard it was to replace Coutts for the previous 12 months?). Biggest "contribution" would be Sharp.

I voted Coutts, because it showed how he was able to make players that had been under preforming shine, Coutts was always good, just with confidence backing and playing to where his strengths were, we got a super player, lots of players have been great under CW and AK but Coutts was the first time we saw with the right management a player could change both in statue and form.

Tough question.

Duffy in terms of sheer class and watchability, plus his influence on how we played.

JOC -solid, unflappable and has markedly improved game on game. Plus he has been virtually ever present.

Sharp's goals got us promoted twice though, so I have gone for him.

Jack O'Connell has been our best player & will have the best career. He gets overlooked every week for our man of the match because we're so used to his concistent excellence. He's got absolutely everything. His stats are actually ridiculous. Have you ever seen a centre half doing what he does?

Seems a great lad too, never outwardly rocked the boat. I think it's a great sign of the club's progress that we've managed to hold onto him. I fear he may be the one player to grow quicker than us though. I expect big bids in the Summer & that he'll be an England starter in 2022.

A toss up between two of the originals , Fleck and JOC for me.

I've gone for Fleck , love watching him play, especially loved his first performance at Hillsborough when he kept turning away from Bannan , jogging away from him almost contemptuously.

What's more remarkable is that fans of their former clubs told us they were both ordinary at best.

Well I’ve clearly bucked the trend by voting for Oliver Norwood. He came in and immediately got us playing to a level higher than before Coutts injury.
We all saw how much we missed Coutts and only recovered when Ollie came in. For me he has been totally irreplaceable so far.

Has to be Lundstram. Wilder saw something and persevered with a player we all (be honest) wanted out.

Same. Mystified why he’s got so few votes. He’s utterly crucial to the way we play.

The reason I voted Billy was over the peice from day one his goals have been a huge part of our success but his captaincy has been immense. I realise there are technically better players with more pace but his two components and selflessnes (Leeds away comes to mind) have been astonishing. Great question though and really tough to answer as how can you leave out all the other players which shows how good CWAK are at getting a squad of players together.

Been all way through the Wilder reign, 2 promotions and Mr consistent every match after the first 4 games... Jack O'Connell!
