Any move up as its called to one of the big 6 puts CWAK on a hiding to nothing
They will get until game 1 to turn it around,
If they dont win at least 6 of the first 10 games they would be failures, at any of liverpool man u spurs arsenal

They are still building a reputation, They boys done good so far but can only be real successes once staying ups confirmed
Until then they have no prem success on their CV

I think we're the culprits for suggesting him for all these teams and for some bizarre reason we seem to get annoyed that he's overlooked.

We're also like this with our players for their respective nations when they dont get a call up.....desperate for Egan/ Fleck/ O'connell to start or be called up yet desperate for them to return injury free.

I appreciate we want the best for our players/ staff members....butI'd rather us go under that radar like we are.

It’s the same as when people say Egan is one of the best defenders in the world, McGoldrick’s the best link up player around and Norwood is the best 30 yard passer in the league.

I’m excited too at how we’re going, but a little realism doesn’t hurt. They’ll be getting plenty of it in the dressing room that’s for sure.

It’s about as level as the pitch and putt at Graves Park. They spend four or five times what we spend. And they spend it well.

If we were to finish ahead of Bournemouth, you'd have to assume Wilder would leap-frog Howe in the manager hierarchy.

Yes, Howe has done a wonderful job, but Bournemouth's progress since there first season hasn't been phenomenal.



Wouldn't read too much into Howe's time at Burnley, most managers have the odd blip on their CV, shouldn't invalidate their other achievements.

Also, as BushBlade says, Howe pre-dates Bournemouth's owner, and miraculously saved them when they were in financial dire straits.

I think Howe keeping them in the prem for this long is a phenomenal achievement personally.

I might be biased but I firmly believe CW is the best manager in the league. Even coming up through L1/champ we were nowhere near being the biggest spenders - CWAK are able to build a successful squad on the cheap (in comparison to some other sides) by picking players which have particular attributes that compliment our system.

What I meant to say was that, while the job Howe has done at Bournemouth has been very impressive, they haven't really progressed in terms of league position. The season after they stayed up, they finished 9th, since then, they've finished 12th and 14th.
I think it takes a good manager to keep a team in the PL, but I wouldn't describe the job he's doing as "phenomenal", as I'd save that for more impressive achievements.

He's building a team around young players, and he gives game time to bright prospects. Assuming they can keep hold of players like Ake, Wilson, Brooks and others, you could argue that when the team reaches it's collective potential, Bournemouth can expect a big improvement in terms of league position.

I completely get what you're saying mate, and I agree to a certain degree. Yes he hasn't really made any further progress in terms of league finishes, but on the flip side it's often tough to stop a team stagnating after the initial euphoria of promotion/staying up etc. All too often teams get too comfortable and suddenly are sucked into a relegation battle. Take Stoke for instance, they seemed fairly stable and established and look at them now.

I think Bournemouth will always have a sort of glass ceiling in terms of progression due to the relatively small financial turnovers they achieve because of stadium limitations etc which also make attracting top players more difficult. If you compare that to Leicester for example, they have a much larger infrastructure which has allowed them to really push on.
