Everton want Egan

Our success in the Premiership has been validated in the last week weeks, so the interest in players is going to be inevitable.

I can see Deano, JOC, Egan, Lunny and maybe even Mousset being tempted away in the next 6 months.

My advice would be to give us at least one more year to see if the club matches their own ambitions and maybe enhance their chances of going to an Everton, West Ham or Palace into going to Man Utd, Liverpool or Spurs etc.

January? Not a chance. Literally 0%.

Summer? Who knows? Everton are insanely rich and if they offer him bonkers wages.....

We will finish several places above Everton and in all likelihood every player who is staying with us will see another substantial pay increase.

He will be captain next season.

His numerous speeches during the promotion celebrations showed that he clearly has a huge attachment to us already. His recent reference to how his Dad would have also fallen in love reinforced that too.

I think that he has found his footballing home and sticking my neck out, I say he is going nowhere.

I admire you optimism. Unfortunately Everton have the capabilities to offer double what we can. They’d happily pay him £80k a week without blinking.

I'm sure they fucking do, I want a 10 inch nob etc etc
I know where you are coming from mate, so do I. Don't think I can be arsed to go through the operation to chop 4 inch off though.

It's not always about money, and even if that was a swinging factor then how much do you think we might offer him next season? Maybe not comparable in wages but we can offer bonuses for staying up, etc.

He'll be a multi millionaire very soon in any case, even if he stays with us. If he isn't already of course.

Everton are a special manager away from being a top 4 club. Liverpool a much better city too and probably more convenient keeping in touch with his Irish tendencies.
As it stands they just keep getting wank managers so I doubt big sensible John will be desperate to go there in a rush.

If we stay up comfortably and the main players keep these levels up we are going to lose at least 2 of Henderson (obviously), Stevens, JOC, Egan, Fleck, Lundstram, Mousset. Its just how it works

I am not so sure, Henderson aside of course, because we can't control that.

Wilder doesn't have a record of flogging the family silver, so why would he now that we are in significantly less need of the money? Granted if a player says he wants off then that changes matters. But I am not convinced many players would want to walk out on this.

We'll see.

Like most things in life it will come down to money. Every player has his price, regardless of the club, and the wages on offer at the ‘bigger’ and more established clubs will be very tempting, particularly for the guys in their late 20s.

Depending on how many are still texting Duffy.

As long as the money's right I'm sure Wilder will find a replacemen.. It's not done Leicester any harm selling Maguire for big money..

Only way of keeping a hold of Egan is for us to nail down that 4th CL spot 😂😂😂

No but if yes 80 million⚔
Sorry when I read this I took it to mean that there was not any any evidence that they wanted him but it was just a wind up. The next thing is every one seems to be treating it that Everton are really "after him". Can the OP please clarify that this is a wind up or provide some evidence to support that Everton are!!

Sheffield is the 4th/5th biggest city in the country and crying out for one of the 2 sides to take football by the scruff of the neck and become a top half premier league side. If Leicester can have one, we can. Do that and be a part of history John, not just part of ‘another’ failed attempt at a European push for Everton.

Bidding STARTS at £50mil and I’d want more anyway.

I think we can expect this interest in our players quite often now. Egan is a massive player for us but he's not irreplaceable. There are many decent CBs that can play his position. It's interest about our other players that would concern me more...

Stevens
Didsy
Fleck
JOC
Norwood
Mousse

Are much harder to replace in our system.

Disagree......it might be unpopular but I really believe that if any of our players were at other clubs they’d be underwhelming and average.
It’s the system playing to their exact strength over and over again thats making them play so well.

I remember Gary Birtles at Forest being a superb striker then he goes to Man Utd for big money
and instantly looks limited. Think the same will happen with many of our players.

Also I’m very confident that they’ll be hardly any big bids for our players during their first season in the top flight
Think any interest will be for relatively modest amounts 10 to 15 million but these figures aren’t tempting enough as it would cost more to replace them.

Leicester were able to control the situation very well. They bought Soyuncu for £19m and Benkovic for £13m the summer before they sold Maguire. They avoided paying a ‘desperation’ premium.
