Anyone still thinking about relegation?

Until it's impossible to be relegated, we should be worrying about it. We need to go after every three points, each and every match, like our season depended on them. But I daresay Saint Christopher will have drilled that into the players already, and they'll be no sitting back. UTB

Let's be honest. We're not going down. Historical precedent says were safe, already

I don`t think we are going down either, but historically we have been relegated every 13 years since 1968

1968 21st Division One Relegated

1981 21st Division Three Relegated

1994 20th Premier League Relegated

2007 18th Premier League Relegated

2020?

Incidentally, I was born in 1968, so if the sequence is broken this season, I am expecting to die in 2020 😧

Latest odds are 13/2 if you are a natural pessimist like me. A cheeky £50 punt should at least pay for the season ticket next year.

I have been going for 60 years and seen them through good and bad times and was starting to believe again but that statistic as started me worrying again. My daughter says start and be more optimistic for a change but it’s hard when you think every time we are on the up something always comes and kicks us in the teeth. Thought we took the cheap option with mr wilder HOW WRONG I WAS I apologise sir you have made me so proud of our club again long may it continue Up them Blades 😁😁😁

over the last few years Wilder has broken every hoodoo and 'ooh if we play on the monday with red shorts we never win' bollocks going. this will be the same. if we'd have got to wembley we'd have won that as well.

Not thinking of relegation but definitely looking at what teams like Southampton toon watford villa Norwich etc are doing

The mor epints we are away from the bottom three the better

It’s November. A few injuries and we could be sucked back in.

It’s the same with people saying Lundstram should be in the England squad, after 4 decent games.

Giving it the big un is a Wendy trait.
No team has gone with with this number of points at this stage in any of the seasons I've checked, and I've gone pretty far back.
Look forward, not back.

As for Lundstram, let's be fair it's a lot more than 4. He's been great all season and I was formerly his biggest critic.
Don't know if I'd go as far as to say he should be in it but I'd say he shouldn't be that far off with the level of competition there.
It's not without basis either, he's now only 20/1 to make the England squad for Euro 2020.

And as for giving it the big un, we're 6th in the fucking Premier League. I think we're entitled to give it the big un if that's how you wanna word it.

Fixed for you :)

Sorry mate. In December 1994, Norwich's highest position was 7th.
My Norwich mate emailed me that they were 6th. Will tell him that he got it wrong. I asked why they went into freefall after that. He said it started with Gunn breaking his leg. I had forgotten that Simon Tracey was on loan to them!

They played 6 matches in the month. Won 3 and lost 3 moving up from 9th to 7th in the course of the month. Obviously if they kicked off earlier they may have been 6th for a few hours!!
