Is this us v Everton? Scullion top right?
The game against Orient was a meaningless end-of-season game, but it really felt like a big moment - the hand-over from one generation to the next. Both youngsters looked outstandingly good. Have there been other similar occasions? Tongue, Jags and Monty must have made their debuts close together. There is something special about a group of youngsters emerging together. Except when you sell them...Graham was left back, played for England and Castle Market Rovers, Sir Len was right back. Different kind of players but both excellent. As was Cec Coldwell who Len took over from. Saw his first game against Leyton Orient alongside fellow debutant Bernard Shaw.
Dearden and Currie (great strike from outside the box that swerved past keeper Cashley)Programme of the 1st game I attended when a 10 year old
We won 2-0 but don’t know who scored

God that brings back the memories , tearing off the paper sheet with the name of who we are playing and handing it to the turnstile man leaving you with the stubs !
First ones I remember were the ones about the size of a 2 finger kitkat must have been early to mid 70,s
Jimmy Sirrell in drag???Hockey, Currie, Barry Venison?
Sorry missed your post initially. Yes I would but the margin is small. Both were class acts and a pleasure to watch and if asked to pick my all time Blades team they would both be in. It's subjective, just my opinion and if there has to be a definitive reason then five full international caps.Would you rate Graham Shaw above Len Badger ?
Never saw graham shaw but Len badger was only just behind TC n Woody for me had a chat with him a few yrs ago in the cricks seemed a really nice man too .Sorry missed your post initially.
