According to RS this morning, two of the players from Saturday have picked up injuries.
I'd guess at Geary being one.
Camara will struggle to be able to play two matches running and I believe Williamson is the other one from what I heard.
Wasn't told Camara would be unavailable (maybe it was assumed) if not i would suppose the smart money would be on Geary. But Williamson is the chief concern.
Now maybe this is just me, but i think thats the biggest load of rubbish and cop out hes ever used.
IN KB's interview on Radio Sheffield after the game Seth Bennet (i think) asked Blackwell if he will play the same team on tuesday after the day's impressive performance. His responce was "not possible, i have 2 more injuries so i will hav to change it around again".
Now maybe this is just me, but i think thats the biggest load of rubbish and cop out hes ever used. I will put a lot of money on the 'injured' players being Camera and Yeates. This is and excuse not to play them so he can revert to a 4-5-1 tight formation and to go for a draw. This means that when we get beaten he ca say 'well we lost 2 players form saturday......etc"
OK, this is just a theory on my part, but its not the first time hes done it, Grow some balls Blackwell!
UTB
Just for once play 442 in the style we did on Saturday.
1) How many fans will we be taking to this match?
2) How many did Sheffield Wednesday take?
At least me. And Foxy. And Keenzy. And Daz.
None of the above![]()
Nottingham Forest haven't scored a goal against us for 5 years.
Nottingham Forest will head into tonight's City Ground date with Sheffield United (kick-off 7.45pm) with their resources depleted.
Manager Billy Davies is unable to call upon Garath McCleary or Joel Lynch, leaving him with just 19 players at his disposal.
McCleary starts a three-match suspension following his controversial sending-off in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Doncaster, while Lynch is facing a month on the sidelines with a thigh injury.
Davies is likely to make changes with strikers Dexter Blackstock and Robert Earnshaw pushing for returns after both were on the bench at Doncaster.
Paul Anderson was rested at the weekend - the winger wasn't in the match-day 18 - but will be hoping for a role against United.
The Blades have a lengthy injury list with skipper Chris Morgan, Mark Bunn, James Harper and Gary Naysmith on the sidelines.
And they could be joined by striker Henri Camara. He has been troubled by hamstring and Achilles problems and manager Kevin Blackwell has hinted he may not risk him against Forest.
1) Around 1700 I reckon.1) How many fans will we be taking to this match?
2) How many did Sheffield Wednesday take?
What watering hole is on the agenda tonight?
setting off at 5 so wont be there till half 6 ish
If it were me Blades would lineup;
Bunn, Geary(if fit), Bartley, Nosworthy, Kallio, Ward, Willo(if fit), Monty, Yeates, Henderson, Cresswell
not sure about Henderson and Creswell up front Lou. It's a little bit static for me. Both players are very similar too. I guess, if we played the right tactics then it could work. They are both decent in the area and if we were to utilise Ward and Yeates and get crosses in it might work. I'd prefer to see Ched and Hendo personally (providing Camara is not fit). I know Cresswell is more of a goal threat, but surely the law of averages says Ched must score soon?!
