I remember a few years ago, trying to explain the Banana Splits to my kids, so I put this on (below) on Youtube on the TV, and they couldn't stop laughing. It's daft, but it's funny.

Banana Splits featured lots of music and songs, many written by famous people like Gene Pitney, Barry White (before he was famous) and soul singer Jimmy Radcliffe.

This one though, below, was the one I always remembered, because it had that late 60's psychedelic pop sound, with the harpsichord intro and the jangly guitars.
