Nahhhhh just supporting our team who were in LG1 3 years ago against the European Champions. Cunt.
On another day we'd have had Billy in the team, taking chances that Robbo wasn't
On another day Hendo would catch that cleanly.
On another day...
Personally i didn't think we were at our best today, but looked the better side for spells in the game. That Virgil is one hell of a defender.

Matip was really good today as well.On another day we'd have had Billy in the team, taking chances that Robbo wasn't

The point about them not taking their chances is a fair one and why I'm not so bothered about the clanger Hendo dropped (hard to be mad at him when he follows it up by stopping a one on one with Salah).
But today's a day we've seen so often under Wilder, result or not: we were supposed to see a huge gulf in class and we haven't. We made some good chances, we defended very well, we knocked the ball about well. Liverpool will be another side saying "Oh, we had an off day" but same old, same old, we don't let teams play their best.
It's a weird feeling given we've lost, but it's so encouraging to have gone toe to toe with the best team in the world and think that a loss is less than we might have deserved.
It's harsh to judge the players just on today given the way Wilder had us set up to play, however my observations so far are that
A. Robinson will reach 5 goals in the league max if he starts every game. He has no confidence in himself at all. In the first half a cross came into the box, he stayed rooted to the spot and the defender behind him cleared it away with ease. He made 0 effort to attack that ball.
B. I'm not sure what McBurnie brings to the team. He doesn't look like linking up with the midfield or his partner, and he only looks a threat at set pieces, which is few and far between given the poor deliveries overall. So we take him out of the game ourselves.
C. The flat three midfield makes us defensively soild but disjointed going forward. Wilder needs to start Luke Freeman behind the front two or Didsy. We look defensively solid but are no threat going forward, and again, set pieces are our best chance to score and they're poor overall.
It's early doors but these are my stand out concerns so far from what I've seen this season. We're doing amazingly well, but winning games on merit through being defensively solid won't last. When you invite that much pressure and allow the opposition that much possession all game, mistakes are going to happen. We need to be creating more and better chances.
We're doing better than we all probably expected, but we could be doing even better with a bit more belief going forward, and the formation is one of the reasons we're seeing so few genuine chances on goal.
Overall I can't be too unhappy with today and deep down we all know it should have been 0-0. But the score doesn't lie.
On to Watford next week.
Fuck them. For everyone defending Liverpool fans earlier in the week, this is why we don't like them. They have zero self awareness and spout boring shit in all directions
Yeah, one thing i've noticed in the Premier League games I've watched (all our games, plus Liv v Nor, Nor v Man C and New v Bri) is that defensively there is always a weakness to be exploited.Virgil is class
No, on future days we will have Mousset starting and then some he’s going to be Billy with legs that ladOn another day we'd have had Billy in the team, taking chances that Robbo wasn't

Don’t mince your words grafikhausAnd I wonder how long Anny Roader has been 'supporting' Liverpool? 5 years? Ten years? As BiggerBladeThanThou says. Cunt.
