Should we reduce the pay per game prices

Now we are in the Premiership with all its associated riches should we reduce the amount we charge our supporters who pay game by game
With us not selling out any of our home games probably apart from Liverpool, I know there have been restrictions in place which I understand to some extent and think they should be relaxed is it time to look at these prices and if we did would it make the difference to us selling out every game or not

At present we are charging around the £40 mark if we reduced this to around £30 would this make such a difference to our overall turnover
I would hazard a guess there are around 5,500 seats available to non season ticket holders on a match by match basis
If we reduced prices by say £10 x 5500 that would equate to £55k per game so over a full season x 18 games that would equate to £990k just shy of £1m which isnt a lot compared to the in excess of £100m we get from being in the Premiership

Yes, reduce the prices. For those who can`t get to many games to justify, or can`t afford, season tickets £40+ is a ridiculous price, even if it is Liverpool. This is Sheffield not Monaco. More evidence of theft of the game from the working man (and woman).

Just reduce tickets on the Kop to £30 per adult for all league games with the relevant reductions for concessions. Poorest part of the stadium ( in terms of facilities) and the prices being charged to sit on their are extortionate

If you have 35K Blades wanting 28K tickets how do you decide who can have those tickets?
The normal way is to set a price as high as possible that will reduce the 35K demand down to 28K.

In fact it prices were reduced to £30, every game would sell out and there would likely be a touting problem
Because there would be a few 1000 willing to pay £40 who can no longer buy tickets.

If we stay in the PL and gates drop to 28K, then agree we might need to look at reducing prices.
However one bonus if high prices is it makes it very worthwhile having season ticket, so ST remain high.

Also if we ever did increase stadium capacity to 40K,
then the only way we’d fill it is by reducing prices down to £30 and making it easier for floaters/ neutrals to buy tickets.

If we had a 40K capacity we would sell about 30/32000 season tickets, and would just about fill the stadium for most games. Very few clubs reach capacity just look at The Etihads, Southampton, Newcastle etc. My guess if we had a reasonable PL season we'd average 36/37000.

I can only guess figures, but I would imagine that whatever increase/profit we'll get from food/drink/shirt/program will not be significant to the overall financial status of the club but will have a more significant financial impact on each fan.

If we're losing lower-income fans that's a loss to our club and our ethos. Some will say 'that's tough' and 'so be it' but for me that's a shame, I wouldn't want us to become like Manchester United in that regard (taking it to the extreme but you will see my point).

I think we could survive and thrive as a club having some tickets at a reduced price (like £15-20) for unemployed fans, or those requiring benefits or even those on the lower end of the income scale.

Maybe we would sink like Portsmouth if we did that though.

(It doesn't affect me in the slightest by the way, I have my ticket this weekend in the south stand)

Start with that figure and go from there. After that, it doesn't seem like price is the issue so much as the difficulties with the loyalty system.

I reckon Leon and Holmes could be put to use and while everyone is queuing up to get their tickets they could be strapped up to bungee cords on top of the south stand holding tickets for the next match in their gob. The challenge is, while they jump down you have to retrieve the ticket from their mouth using nothing but your own mouth. An extra 10,000 points would be awarded if your lips make contact with theirs. #RealBladesAreAtTheLane

The stigma associated with such a daft scheme would ensure that the take up would be next to zero. Or maybe you're suggesting the likes of you forfeit their seat in the SS and allocate them to the unemployed instead?

I don't have a season ticket. You could have a selection of seats scattered across the ground which are not held by season ticket holders. There can be groupings for families, individuals etc. These seats are not taken away from season ticket holders. Just a small amount from the general sale etc.

If one week I missed out because of this I would not complain because I'm not a selfish prick.
