No, the thread is titled 'A change of manager works!' In other words, to improve things all you need to do is change the manager. That was, unless Robson had been lurking unseen for a few months, a change of manager. I leave people on here to debate whether or not that improved things compared to Warnock!

You could argue equally that a change of manager doesn't work - Reading post-Coppell, us with Robson, Sammy Lee at Bolton, anybody since Jesus was a lad at Newcastle, Mancini at Citeh, and more. Basically it's bollocks. Changing manager both works and doesn't. Sticking with the same manager works, like Fergie at ManUre.

It also doesn't, like Wenger at the Arse. And sticking does work, like also Wenger at the Arse. Wenger is crap and great at the same time at the moment. So he knackers all theories.

So, to sum it up, changing managers works, and doesn't. And keeping the same manager works, and doesn't. I hope you are following this, there will be a test later.

I'm Surprised nobody has picked up on this.

I think you'll find that when Blackie took over from Robson, he took us on a fantastic run and didn't have a transfer window like Robins has had.

So if you're going do a comparison, make it one that stands up

Robins has done a fantastic job with very little money and very few new signings to my knowledge. Hard to believe you seem to use Blackwell to have a pop at Robins' achievements. Micalijo, I'm not playing down the job that Robins' has done.

I think there are plenty of valid reasons for having a pop at Blackwell, I've trawled through this forum since the weekend and found very little other than Blackie pops. Have I complained at many others since last tuesday? I'll save you looking - no I haven't

BUT 10 is comparing Robins first few months to what Blackwell is doing NOW.... Surely if you're doing a direct comparison, it should be like for like?

Robins has been in charge of the dingles 153 days and is still working with the squad he inherited, Blackie has his own squad now and has been in the job 726 days.
