Attached is a letter that I have sent to Sheffield United football club FAO Kevin Blackwell. I've e-mailed and sent letters to all parties stated.

Of course my last letter to KB was just a bit of light hearted fun and I would never of dreamed of telling Blackwell to 'fook off' etc etc. I do however feel that I have a right to my money back from Tuesday night. A bunch of school girls would have done better than the team did. I turned up to watch Sheffield United and as far as I'm concerned our team did not turn up.

I can ausre that I am being serious and have already sent the letters/e-mail. Of course this will be like pissing in the wind and there is a 99.9% probability it won't get anywhere near the intended people. Others may ask what is the point? It's about principle. I genuinly believe that the performance was so bad, that all United fans should be reimbursed for their troubles.

Worth a go.

Not sure I agree about money back because I don't see how you can say the players didn't try. I'm sure they did but are just crap. I didn't go but I have never thought a player isn't trying, honestly mean that. Maybe I'm soft.

I can't believe how seriously people took your last effort.

PS - read it again and you don't really say they didn't try - apologies

"The reason for this letter is to request that as that you refund the cost my ticket"

Ha, Ha. Good one Ollie.

I liked;

"I am not going to come out and criticise..........your reaction on the night as I don’t think it is appropriate."

"What I expected to see from you was leadership, when the heads went down, yet your demeanour showed a defeated, deflated man. To be blunt, you looked lost and this was only after the first goal."

Yeah, that's great. I didn't really read beyond the first line. To be honest, I'm only just simmering down from the incandescent rage his first letter sent me into

Nice one Olle! Like I said before, I don't agree with your opinion, but I like your approach

Worth a go.

Surely then thats an admission that Blackie's doing a good jobwith what he's got if the players are crap?

Its just a case of him buying or loaning crap players ... In your opinion:D

As you said Olle its got a 99.9% chance of not getting to the intended people. It also has a 100% chance of not having the desired effect im afraid buddy. A lot of people went to that game on tuesday and travelled a long way to do it. They could have the same grievance if not worse.

I would amend the letter to state something different. You wont get your money back I am pretty sure of that. If youre truly unhappy/dissatisfied it would be better to write to them explaining so and stating that you will not be attending certain future games you had planned on out of protest.

If they refund you they would have to refund everyone and we're talking about Sheffield United here. The chances of prising money out of the club coffers is less likely than Elton John shagging a bird!

I think its got more chance of reaching its intended targets than the first effort. Why copy Captain Morgan? What did he do wrong?

OllessendroOllessendro Ollessendro,Give over now. You cannot say you’re not going to criticise then do so. The English lesson didn't work from earlier. I believe I have one booked about 5.30pm if you wish I can request if you can join in. That is if you want to.

Crap order of sentance i think?

and spelling

When I read the first letter it was the sentiment rather than the content that I thought was important.

One thing that winds me up is people moaning but not being prepared to do anything about it. Its very easy to criticise people for standing up, but good on Olle for standing up and putting his point across to Blackwell.

Olle can answer if he would accept the money back if Blackie offered to dip into his pocket, but its the impact of the statement.

Copying Morgs was a good idea as he's the club captain, therefore spokesman for the players.

You never know Olle, Blackie may read this site, has seen your squad pics on here and invite you to trial for the Blades, then you'd really be in the shite because we could criticise the way you play :D

Imagine if Kevin Blackwell was posting on here like Strappon!!

God he would get abused. Although, i think he'd be willing to take constructive critisicm. Lee Strappon can't

"Crap order of sentance i think?"

and spelling

Nothing I like better than irony.

Well said lad, fecks me off when people criticise other people's spelling when they can't even spell themselves.

And yes, I have put that through spell checker :D

Good fur grooming from me next time. Tis all those English masters i get worried bout.
:shakehead:

A well reasoned argument and certainly one the warrents fair consideration and a respectful reply.

Many years ago I worte to Mr McCabe telling him how dissapointed I was and that if I could buy the product 'Sheffield United' I would surely switch brands. I got a very fair reply, offerd the use of a hospitality box for a game of my choice for free, including up to 10 people.

I dont think I was 'bought 'off' but I did appreciatte the gesture as saw it as some compensation.

Good luck with your letter.

Cheers Mic and Dingle. I appreciate you seeing where I am coming from, rather than trying to pull the letter apart to seem 'intelligent' and score a few points.

I'm not going to criticise that letter.

But it's shite.

No it's not.

He went, and I reckon that as he's asking for his money back we can count on two things. One, he paid for it himself, and two, he wasn't happy with the performance and the result. Asking for his money back is a perfectly valid response to dissatisfaction with the product he was presented with. What's wrong with that? You might not agree with asking for it, but there is nothing wrong with trying.

And if it was any other product or service it would be coverd by the sale of goods act and he definitly be entitled to his money back.

It would be amazing if he suddenly refunded you.

But then i dont expect Hoofwell to have any sense of responsibilty.

No it wouldn't. He paid to attend to watch a football match between Sheffield United and Watford. He got what he paid for. There was no guarantee as to the standard of the performance put up by either team.

But we have the fourth highest wage bill in the CCC
Surely our players are much better than Watfords who don't own a pot to piss in yet made our team look second or third rate!

I wonder how many kids are writing to Strafford right now demanding their £1 back.

Although I never worked for Kevin Blackwell, I know a lot of stories about him from the Leeds players. I worked at Leeds in 06/07 and for half of 07/08 under Dennis Wise... after hearing the stories from the players, and other staff at the club, I was devastated to hear Blackwell appointed as our gaffer, although I believe he is doing okay.

At Leeds, under Blackwell, they played some awful, long ball football - sound familiar? Having spoken to Leeds fans on matchday and the likes, it came very apparant that some of the worst peformances they'd seen at Elland Road came in Blackwell's tenure. The mess he left the club in when I arrived was shocking. We had to do a full pre-season as many were overweight and unfit. The players used to order pizzas after the game to eat on the coach home. One thing though, Blackwell lost the dressing room half way through 2005/06, even when they were doing well. The players ruled the dressing room, and most thought he had an inferiority complex, and a bit of spiteful cunt - he showed this for me in Leeds' 15 points admin case.

As a friend of a current player, I was delighted to see them join the club, and have spoken to him once or twice. It seems that Blackwelll has learned from some of the mistakes, but it seems some players don't respect him, and his sqeaky southern accent. When the going gets tough (from what I've heard) he sinks into a corner, when it's going well, he claims the fame.

I wouldn't renew his contract, but he'll do at the moment. I'm just fortunate that my line of work doesn't allow me to experience too many longball blackwell games, it hurts, trying to make out a football in the floodlights. To the letter, Blackwell does try to make an effort with the fans, I'd be surprised if he didn't personally get back to you, but I think your demands are too far fetched.
