When Southampton scored we didn’t have a single new signing on the pitch.

After spending £45m, surely we shouldn’t be in a situation where none of them are on the pitch? So is Wilder being too loyal?

I thought the same but knew he would bring someone like Robbo on.

Specsavers 👍
I did see poor finishing on several occasions from him, opting to pass backwards when there were good forward options available, poor crosses and the usual misplaced passes.

Not sure what I didn’t see. I’ll check the specsavers prescription, make sure the specs are heavily rose tinted next time.

Only once this season have we lined up with a suitable attacking pair - Robinson and McBurnie at Chelsea. And even then we isolated them.

Every other forward pairing has been wrong, trying to force something to work that isn't going to.

The sooner Mousset starts the better. Maybe 'the staff' will allow that in the next 6 months.

Asking alot of McG to go out of the country with an injured shoulder play, then back to Sheffield for treatment yet still into the starting 11.I would have thought with an injury and a busy week he would have been given a rest and used only as a sub he is not young.

I thought the same.

Feeman should have started for lunny and the flat 3 midfield is not working at home. Goldie is excellent, until putting the ball in the net. He must have had 8 chances this year.

40m + and the team needs to morph into a premiership team. Robinson, moose and mcburnie have all shown enough to be starting infont of Goldie. Freeman has been the best of the new buys so far and don't understand why he did not start. Though fleck was our best player first half.

Also I feel we have dropped one by not upgrading Bash, he was sloppy today again.

End of, it was our worst performance today, but we are not a million miles off, if a couple of those chances went in. Keep the faith, as wilder did make big changes from leauge 1 to championship, but it took two seasons, we do not have the time in the prem.

Freeman has to play, McGoldrick misses too many sitters to play.

Gotta drop McGoldrick for the Moose, and one of Fleck or Lundstram for Freeman. Gotta be Lundstram, which may be harsh, but Norwood is too good a passer and Fleck has a touch more quality than Lunny.
Norwood played 2 wonder passes and cost us the game with another loose pass. Blame Mcgoldrick all you want but we come away with a deserved point without another needless error.

McBurnie would only have been enhanced by having Mousset alongside him. He didn't do badly and looked capable of causing problems when he was involved. Unlucky to be subbed. Especially after the non goal (didn't take long with VAR, did it).

At 0-0 it was also more suitable for Mousset, with Southampton going for the win, meaning more space and end to end stuff.

Billy did well before he lost his fucking brain but why we're so determined to hold back our only proper athlete I have no idea.

Southampton threatened all game with their pacy ball carriers and we leave ours on the bench while we're struggling to make the ball stick up front.

I agree we’re not a million miles away, but my biggest concern is we’re starting matches far too slowly. We should be getting at teams like Southampton from the first minute. It feels like the start of last season all over again with the flat 3 in midfield.

That’s 4 matches out of 5 we have conceded the first goal, which can not continue if we want to start winning matches.

McD shows clever touches and works hard but is a poor finisher.

I’m not convinced by McB - certainly doesn’t look a £20m player so far.

It was an even game today but we really do lack a goal threat. We need to beat teams like this otherwise we will struggle.

I hope Mousset comes good because we are STILL crying out for pace.

Left very disappointed today and with this nagging feeling that CW hasn’t strengthened the team as much as he should have done, given the money he spent.
