Based on very little (I admit) I think Lys Mousset could well be the best of our summer signings.

His first touch, pace and aggression gives us something a bit different. Accepting he may not be fully up to speed I am eagerly anticipating the day when he is, because for my money he’s ready now.

No reason he shouldn't be on the bench now.

I said exactly the same.....football can be such a funny game.
Many wrote off Lundstrum pre-season and many seem to have written off Mousset as a waste of money before he’s even played for us.

Wouldn’t it be funny if come the end of the season....both Lunny and Moosey end up being our best players.

Many of our fans are quick to write off players without really thinking what the management/playing colleagues might have seen & appreciate. Prime example being Pinchy with Squinny, who went on to have a decent career. Many of our fans are premature ejaculaters.

Did well today. Took his man on down the right

Did well for the goal as well. We have options. How long is it since Connor Salmon ?

I really really want the goal awarded to Mousset, surely there are other camera angles of the goal??

Looks like it was Mousetts goal after all.
Can someone make sure they’re claiming the goal for Moose? Fuck me, Zouma doesn’t want it, it’s not clear, it could easily be a case they’ve both touched it at the same time. To me it looks like Zouma clears that if Mousset’s foot isn’t there. Surely he is given it?

Saw Blades Analytics trying to bring this to United and James shields attention yesterday
Have any luck jay ?

Maybe we should all get on to them about it ?
This is the procedure

The Dubious Goals Committee is a committee within the Premier League, the top level of association football in England, which adjudicates in any instance where the identity of the scorer of a goal is disputed.
The Committee meets on an ad hoc basis, whenever a disputed goal is brought to its attention. This is generally around three or four times each season.[1]
A Dubious Goals Committee also exists for the Football League.[2]

The angle from the front clearly shows that Mousset didn’t touch it. The angle from the back shows he didn’t touch it either, I’m not sure what people are seeing.
The gif in this thread looks like it comes off Lys' big toe don't you think?

No I don’t think it looks like that. The ball had gone past his foot before there’s any movement, hence it comes off Zouma’s shin, not Mousett’s toe.

As I say, the other angle shows that his big toe didn’t touch it at all.

I'm not so sure hence I would like to see a different angle to the only two that I have seen

I thought that on first watch, looked again, and while it initially passes Mousset’s foot, it looks as though their are two split second touches – Zouma nicks it and then there’s a slight (but what I think is important) touch from Mousset last. In fact the more I watch it the more I think Zouma might clear it without the touch off the toe.

How is that physically possible though? The ball goes past Mousett’s foot, his Zouma’s shin and then somehow goes back to hit Mousett before going into the net, all without any change of direction?

The one from the other direction shows that it clearly doesn’t hit Mousett though, no other angle will show you anything different.

Like you, I was certain that Moose didn't touch it, but that GIF seems to show that he did. Ball goes past him first, Zouma deflects the ball back and up, where Moose is flicking his foot and in it goes.

While Zouma looked gutted, he wouldn't be to know that Moose got a touch. Plus, Moose certainly seemed to be celebrating the goal as if it was his.

Hope it is as that would be 4 strikers scoring goals this season already.

He definitely gets the last touch
