Living in Berkshire meant I had the pleasure of listening to tonight's game on BBC radio Berkshire.
Their summary of us is that Walker is an excellent player, Bunn played well, our defence is very slow and vulnerable and our tactics are very one dimensional. They know they played woeful tonight but better finishing from their strikers would've meant a completely different result. The commentators were surprised at how predictable we played and also very disappointed that despite this, their defending was shocking.
They also commmented on a very very poor atmosphere at the lane tonight.

Sadly I'd say all of that summary is fair.

The atmosphere was hardly surprising though and let's be honest, they really shouldn't be throwing stones nor calling kettles black on that one.

I have to agree, I didn't think we were much good at all. Can't complain at the result though. Would have been a very different game had it not been for Bunn.

Agree about the atmosphere too, then again though, its never a good atmosphere at The Lane anymore.

From a Reading fan who lives in Sheffield....

"United looked a decent team, but didn't seem to need to get out of second gear - Harper looks a completely different player and was the heartbeat for you at times, credit to him for not celebrating your goals either"

It's certainly not for a match against a team like Reading.

In a career as a fan of over 45years few 3-0 wins have been such non events
Got home tonight knowing I`ve mt up with the lads after work, knowing I`ve had a few beers ealier but not quite sure if we took in a match or just sat and watched some paint dry

Its not for any match these days apart from when we play Wednesday. I used to have a decent sing at most games only a few years ago, now though, its like a morgue more often than not.

My take was that it was a routine victory, which was helped by an early goal. I really didn't see too much of note in the second half at all, short of the third goal.

Now had they scored the penalty .....
