On the OS that he's had a set back and is facing another 6 weeks out :(

Not sure why he should/ would pack up, he's 31 so has a few years left.

It sounds like a set back as opposed to a reoccurence or the ligament not taking. And as long as he won't cause further damage by playing on then he should be able to make a recovery.

He had the same injury as Jags at about the same time - they've both had setbacks, neither is back playing yet.

Hope it's not a serious setback, and I hope he doesn't take to the same recuperative methods in The Rectory in Wilmslow that he did when he broke his leg at Everton. Him, his Dad and his Uncle were absolutely slaughtered on an all-day bender, and judging by the timber he was carrying at the time he was taking regular doses. Top lads though.

I also said on another thread on sat that Arteta was about a month or so ahead of them and he has just made his comeback on sat.

I also had the same op a month after Jags/ Naysmith and after going through all the physio and muscle building etc I ruptured my cruciate again in December and had my 2nd op in 8 months last week ! I hadn't even made it back to playing footy again. So I've paid a lot of attention to players recovering from the same injury

Believe me, its not an easy injury to recover from!

He was well enough to be up Deansgate this week, spotted along with Benno, Hendo and Fortune :)

Poor Williamson. Out for a good three weeks too :(

*cough*
